Oba Femi found himself on the receiving end of a devastating beatdown during the September 7 episode of WWE RAW, as The Vision once again used their overwhelming numbers to leave the powerhouse laid out in the middle of the ring.
The chaos unfolded following the surprise return of Otis, leading to a chaotic sequence that completely upended the broadcast from Birmingham, Alabama.
Otis Returns To Face Austin Theory
Earlier in the broadcast, Bron Breakker claimed that Femi was not medically cleared following their brutal encounter at Sunday Night’s Main Event and would be out of action for the foreseeable future.
When Akira Tozawa interrupted The Vision’s opening segment, Austin Theory stepped up to confront him. That brought out the returning Otis, who dominated Theory early with impressive power moves.
However, the numbers advantage for The Vision quickly came into play:
- Distraction: Maxxine Dupri interfered behind the referee’s back to shift momentum.
- Disqualification: Bronson Reed attacked Otis from behind, prompting the referee to immediately call for the bell.
- Beatdown: The entire faction swarmed Otis in a 5-on-1 assault, capped off by Breakker leveling him with a Spear before turning their focus toward Tozawa.
Oba Femi Defies Injuries, Overwhelmed By The Vision
Proving Breakker’s medical claims wrong, Femi stormed down the ramp to make the save. He went straight after Breakker and Reed, laying into both men with heavy uppercuts and clotheslining Breakker over the top rope.
Theory attempted to halt the onslaught by smashing a steel chair across Femi’s back, but the shot barely registered. Femi immediately retaliated, dropping Theory and tossing him across the ring.
Despite the initial surge, the faction’s raw numbers proved insurmountable:
- Breakker cut Femi down with a devastating Spear.
- Reed crushed him with a running Splash, followed immediately by a second Spear from Breakker.
- Reed then climbed to the top turnbuckle and delivered a series of massive Tsunamis, leaving Femi completely motionless on the canvas.
While Femi proved his resilience by appearing despite his injuries, The Vision ensured his defiance came at a painful cost to close out the segment.
