Wrestling podcaster Famous Davis broke the news, confirming that Williams passed away at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, shortly after being rushed from Enjoy Wrestling’s Five Years event at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Millvale.
On Sunday, TMZ reported that the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office had confirmed Williams’ death.
“Andy Williams – a professional AEW wrestler known as ‘The Butcher,’ died Saturday after experiencing a medical emergency during a tag team match in Pennsylvania, according to authorities,” TMZ wrote.

The incident occurred at the conclusion of his tag team match alongside longtime partner The Blade. After Williams collapsed, on-site medical doctors immediately initiated emergency care. Enjoy Wrestling halted the broadcast, canceled the remainder of the card, and sent fans home as emergency personnel worked in the ring.
