All Elite Wrestling competitor The Butcher (Andy Williams) required emergency medical attention after collapsing during an independent wrestling event on Saturday night, September 5, 2026.
The medical emergency occurred during the main event of Enjoy Wrestling’s Five-Year Anniversary show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, prompting promotion officials to immediately halt the event and cancel the remainder of the broadcast.
In-Ring Collapse & Immediate Medical Response
According to live reports from fans in attendance, the match was proceeding as planned when Williams’ legs buckled beneath him. His longtime tag team partner, The Blade, immediately signaled to the referee and medical staff for assistance while attempting to keep Williams upright. Williams collapsed a second time and lost consciousness in the ring.
Event personnel initially attempted to revive him using ice before ringside medical professionals took over to administer critical emergency care.
Enjoy Wrestling Issues Official Statement
Following the cancellation of the event, Enjoy Wrestling released an official statement confirming that staff doctors performed immediate CPR in the ring before emergency services transported Williams to a local hospital.
“Andy collapsed at the end of his match this evening,” Enjoy Wrestling stated. “Our doctors on staff tended to him immediately, administering CPR until the ambulance arrived. We sent everyone home and are at the hospital now waiting for more information. Thanks to everyone who helped and has reached out.”
Witnesses at the venue reported that paramedics utilized an automated external defibrillator (AED) and continued chest compressions as Williams was loaded into the ambulance.
