International music sensation Bad Bunny earned widespread acclaim for his in-ring performances during his runs with WWE, and former opponent John Morrison recently opened up about the extreme lengths the Grammy-winning artist went to in order to respect professional wrestling.
Appearing on The Wrestling Classic podcast, Morrison—who shared the ring with Bad Bunny at WrestleMania 37 alongside The Miz and Damian Priest—praised the global star’s humble attitude and dedication to mastering the craft before stepping into the ring.
Morrison Details Bad Bunny’s Work Ethic & Orlando Move
Morrison revealed that rather than treating his WWE stint as a quick celebrity cameo, Bad Bunny halted his music commitments to move to Florida and train full-time at the WWE Performance Center.
“Bad Bunny, to me, was the nicest, most humble guy ever,” Morrison said. “He doesn’t have to be because he’s such a huge star. He’s even bigger now than he was in 2021.”
Addressing the singer’s motivation and willingness to compromise his schedule, Morrison highlighted his deep respect for the industry.
“He was such a big fan of wrestling, and he wanted to make sure that he didn’t disrespect the art form,” Morrison explained. “So he canceled some of his shows and made time to live in Orlando for a while so he could go to the [WWE Performance Center] and train. He earned it, man. He put the time in.”
Morrison added that Bunny’s demeanor made him an immediate favorite among company personnel: “He was fantastic. He was nice to everybody. I can’t say more good things about Bad Bunny.”
In-Ring History & Potential AAA Appearance
Following his debut at WrestleMania 37 in 2021, Bad Bunny made a surprise appearance in the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble before competing in a critically acclaimed San Juan Street Fight against Damian Priest at WWE Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico.
Speculation regarding Bad Bunny’s next wrestling appearance has intensified following recent teases in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. During a July broadcast of AAA on FOX, General Manager Rey Mysterio confirmed the promotion was working on bringing Bad Bunny into the fold following the arrival of his former tag partner Damian Priest.
