“You know, I don’t know [if Brock has more in the tank] you know we saw him retire a few months ago. Then he came back to do this, but for Brock to walk back into the ring to bring Oba back in there with him to put him over both verbally and physically as the future of the business, that is a pretty bold statement. Brock doesn’t just say things.”
Triple H continued by saying that Lesnar has always operated on his own terms and that his future will ultimately depend on what he wants to do.
“So, without reading into it any more than that, ‘I am the past’ is what he said. You know as well as I do that Brock does what he wants to do, so take that at face value and let’s see.”
While the future remains uncertain, Triple H made it clear that Lesnar’s performance at SummerSlam was impressive. He praised Brock for helping elevate Oba Femi during one of the biggest matches of the young star’s career.
“The one thing I do know is that he put on an incredible performance tonight, and a new star is born with Oba Femi.”
