Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in the main event of WWE SummerSlam Night 1, surviving a brutal Hell in a Cell match and earning one of the biggest victories of his career. The match also marked the first time Lesnar had ever lost inside the structure, entering the bout with a 2-0 record.
The two powerhouses delivered a violent battle that featured weapons, devastating power moves, and a level of punishment rarely seen inside Hell in a Cell.
After the opening bell, Oba Femi immediately attacked Lesnar with kicks, punches, and corner strikes. However, Brock quickly responded with his trademark suplex offense, hitting multiple German suplexes. Despite the impact, Oba continued to get back to his feet and refused to slow down.
The fight soon spilled outside the ring, where Oba launched Lesnar into the Cell wall and later sent him crashing through a table positioned against the structure. Lesnar answered by using the environment to his advantage, repeatedly smashing Oba with the ring steps and attacking him with a steel chair.

The violence continued as Lesnar delivered multiple German suplexes, including one that sent Oba onto a pile of chairs. Brock appeared to have the match won when he attempted the F5, but Oba escaped and countered with a chokeslam.
Oba followed with another chokeslam and a power bomb, continuing to fight through Lesnar’s offense. He later connected with a sit-out power bomb for a close two-count, but Brock refused to stay down.
Lesnar responded with three consecutive F5s, but even that was not enough. After another near fall, Brock increased the punishment by tearing apart the ring canvas and exposing the wooden boards underneath.
Brock then delivered a devastating tombstone piledriver onto the exposed surface, but Oba once again kicked out.
In the closing moments, Oba managed to fight back. He knocked the chair away from Lesnar, lifted him up, and delivered a sit-out power bomb onto the exposed boards. This time, the referee counted to three, giving Oba Femi the victory.
After the match, Lesnar returned to the ring and surprised everyone with his reaction. Instead of continuing the attack, Brock removed his elbow pads, approached Oba, and embraced him.
Lesnar then raised Oba’s hand and asked for a microphone. Speaking to the Minnesota crowd, Brock praised his opponent and made a major statement about Oba’s future.
Lesnar told the audience that Oba Femi is the future of WWE. He congratulated him and repeated that Oba represents what is next for the company, while saying that he himself represents the past.
The victory completes a major chapter in their rivalry. Oba previously defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, leading Brock to announce his retirement. However, Lesnar returned for revenge and defeated Oba at Clash in Italy, setting up their final showdown inside Hell in a Cell.
With Brock Lesnar now acknowledging him as the future, Oba Femi’s position as one of WWE’s biggest rising stars has become even stronger.
