AAA Verano de Escándalo Night 2 Results – Tonight is Verano De Escalando (Summer of Scandal) Night Two. Night One took place last Saturday in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
AAA Latin American Title Qualifying Three Way: Mecha Wolf vs. Lince Dorado vs. La Parka
As soon as the show opened, we went straight into the triple threat qualifier. The winner would join El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in the Fatal Four Way for the vacant AAA Latin American Championship. Lince Dorado stepped in for the injured Dragon Lee.
Mecha Wolf and Dorado started shoving each other right at the bell while La Parka danced. Mecha and Dorado quickly teamed up and stomped him down. La Parka recovered, sent Mecha to the floor, then after a brief exchange, sent Dorado out as well.
La Parka set up for a dive, but Mecha and Dorado caught him and threw him into the ring post. La Parka got back inside only to eat two boots from Dorado, who then somersaulted onto Mecha on the outside. Dorado returned to the ring and covered La Parka for a count of two.
Mecha powered up, tossed La Parka out, then drilled Dorado with a DDT for a two count. Dorado answered with chops, Mecha returned them, and they collided with a double clothesline. La Parka capitalized with a double stunner and a powerslam on Mecha.
La Parka sent both men out with a double flapjack, then hit a moonsault to the floor. He threw Dorado back inside, but Dorado rolled him up for two. Dorado hit a backstabber, but Mecha broke the cover.
Mecha chopped Dorado into the corner and hit a twisting top‑rope suplex. He went for the pin, but La Parka stopped it. Mecha and La Parka traded shots until La Parka hit a sit‑out powerbomb for a count of two‑and‑a‑half.
La Parka stacked Mecha on his shoulders. Dorado sprang in with a springboard stunner on Mecha, and La Parka dumped him backward — taking most of the impact himself. Mecha and Dorado fought on the apron until Dorado hit a headscissor takedown on Mecha to the floor.
Dorado rolled back in and hit a shooting star press on La Parka, but La Parka kicked out. Mecha popped up and sprayed Dorado with poison mist, letting La Parka hit a Spanish fly on Dorado. He covered, but Mecha broke it.
La Parka sent Dorado out and splashed Mecha. He grabbed Mecha for the BoneBreaker and scored the three count.
Winner: La Parka
– A clip from X showed someone watching the Psycho Circus stroll into the parking garage in full gear despite not being booked. Clowns gonna clown.
– Backstage, Daga of Perros Del Mal cut a promo saying they’re here to set the rules and next week the group will continue to grow.
El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. & Galeno vs. Drago & Dinamico
Wagner and Dinamico opened with a fast, frantic exchange. Drago jumped in to help, but Wagner dropped both men. Galeno tagged himself in as Wagner sent Dinamico to the floor, then bulldozed him and rolled inside to toss Drago into the corner with his brother.
Wagner and Galeno traded tags while beating down Drago, including a pop‑up dropkick for a count of two. Dinamico returned briefly, only for Wagner to kick him right back out and hit a falling splash from Galeno’s shoulders.
Galeno followed with the Galeno Special, flipping Drago inside out. He made the cover, and the brothers secured the victory.
Winners: El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. & Galeno
Rey Mysterio Press Conference Segment
Rey Mysterio addressed the “press” backstage. He was asked about Dominik aligning himself with Dorial Roldan, and Rey — like most of us — admitted he didn’t see it coming, but said it actually makes a lot of sense. Rey then wrapped up the questions so the show could move on to the next match.
AAA World Cruiserweight Title: Rey Fenix (c) vs. Mini Vikingo
Mini Vikingo stands as AAA’s only Vikingo at the moment, with Regular‑Sized Vikingo out getting his “Vik‑ing‑knee” repaired. Fenix, also regular‑sized, has been a fighting champion, defending the title multiple times since taking it from Laredo Kid.
Fun fact: Fenix has been wrestling longer than Mini Vikingo has been alive.
They opened with a tie‑up, Fenix overpowering Mini into a quick two count. Mini struck fast and vanished just as quickly, using pure speed to stay out of Fenix’s grasp — until Fenix caught him mid‑air with a kick.
Mini fired back with a tornado splash from the top rope, then hit a dropkick and a hurricanrana‑bomb for a count of two. He kept slipping around Fenix until he landed a headscissor takedown. Fenix stunned him with a kick and hit a top‑rope crossbody. Fenix put Mini on his shoulders, but Mini countered into a crucifix driver for a two count.
Fenix walked the ropes and kicked Mini, then hit a Death Valley Driver for a two count. He rained kicks down and went off the ropes, but Mini countered with a standing Spanish Fly.
They got in each other’s faces and started throwing hands. Fenix knocked Mini down, but Mini answered with a poisonrana for a two count. Mini went up top and hit a perfect frog splash — another two count.
Mini worked Fenix over in the corner and charged, but Fenix caught him with a cutter at mid‑ring. Mini kicked out at two, visibly frustrating the champion.
Fenix went up top, Mini met him, and Mini hit a Spanish Fly from the top turnbuckle for yet another two count. Mini climbed again for a Phoenix Splash, but Fenix moved. Fenix grabbed him for a Mexican Muscle Buster, but took too long, allowing Mini to counter into a rollup for two.
Fenix blasted him with a flying knee — Mini kicked out just after one. Fenix went for the Mexican Muscle Buster again, and this time he hit it clean, planting Mini Vikingo for the pin and retaining the championship.
Winner: Rey Fenix
After the match, Fenix made sure to show respect to Mini Vikingo before celebrating with the crowd. We then saw backstage footage of Mini Vikingo walking through the entrance ramp area. Dorian Roldan approached him, leaned in, whispered something in his ear, and walked off as the show ended.
Next week, Verano de Escandalo week three continues, with the Reina de Reinas Championship on the line as long‑running champion Flammer defends against Lady Shani and La Catalina.
