TNA had previously teased that the second-generation talent would appear at the Credit Union 1 Arena on August 23, but kept the nature of his segment hidden. Taking the microphone in front of the Chicago crowd, the son of legendary multi-time World Champion AJ Styles confirmed his official roster status, declaring that fans know his father wouldn’t be who he was without TNA Wrestling, and stating that the same will hold true for him.
Confrontation with Frankie Kazarian Sets Up First Feud
The celebration was quickly interrupted by TNA veteran Frankie Kazarian, who walked out to address the newcomer. Kazarian brought up his decades-long history with AJ Styles, referencing their foundational work alongside Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels in building TNA into a national promotion.
Addressing the young signee directly, Kazarian noted that while many wrestlers in the locker room would target him simply for his famous last name, he intended to take a different approach before returning to the back. The tense exchange immediately positioned Avery for his first major storyline on TNA television.
