WWE has officially announced Worlds Collide for Saturday, September 26, setting up direct competition with AEW All Out on the same night in the Chicago area.
The newly announced WWE event will take place at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Meanwhile, AEW All Out is scheduled for the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The two venues are located roughly 15 miles apart, with both companies promoting the shows as taking place in the Chicago market.
AEW had previously revealed its plans for All Out earlier this month. Tony Khan confirmed the date and location during an interview with Q101 Chicago on July 6. Early access ticket sales began on July 7, followed by general ticket availability on July 13. The event marks AEW’s return to Saturday pay-per-views and will be the fifth time the NOW Arena has hosted All Out, dating back to the inaugural show in 2019.
WWE And AEW Set For Same-Night Events In Chicago
Khan also addressed the scheduling change for All Out, explaining that the event was moved away from its traditional Labor Day weekend slot. He cited the need for a four-week gap between All Out and AEW All In, which is set to take place at Wembley Stadium on August 30.
WWE’s Worlds Collide has historically been presented as a crossover-style event, often featuring talent from NXT and other partner promotions. The most recent editions included collaborations with AAA. However, WWE has not yet confirmed the full lineup or format for this year’s show.
With both promotions now set to run major events on the same night in the same market, September 26 is shaping up to be a notable date in the wrestling calendar.
