A new match has been confirmed for Saturday Night’s Main Event, and it comes directly out of the escalating tension between Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. The two will finally meet one‑on‑one after Valkyria’s sudden and brutal turn against her former partner on a 7/13 episode of RAW.
Their confrontation this week made the situation even clearer. Bayley demanded an apology after calling Valkyria out in a vignette the week prior. Valkyria arrived looking shaken and disheveled, but instead of apologizing, she fired back. She accused Bayley of holding her back, claimed she was never a locker room leader, and even called her the worst of the Four Horsewomen. Bayley responded by promising to beat Valkyria at Saturday Night’s Main Event and add the victory to her long list of accomplishments. As Bayley walked away, Valkyria attacked, finishing the segment with a belly‑to‑belly suplex.
The two had been partners for most of the past year, but their momentum collapsed after a string of losses leading into the Women’s Tag Team Title match. Now, their partnership is officially over, and the fallout arrives on July 18.
