Tommaso Ciampa AEW plans are beginning to take shape as the former TNT Champion continues to develop his “Psycho Killer” persona. Since arriving in AEW earlier this year, Ciampa has quickly made an impact, and his latest comments suggest there could be something major on the horizon.
Ciampa debuted on the January 31 episode of AEW Collision, where he defeated Mark Briscoe to capture the TNT Championship in his first match. Since then, he has leaned into a darker character direction, which he says is still evolving creatively.
Tommaso Ciampa AEW Plans Build Toward Potential All In Moment
Speaking to Justin Barasso of The Undisputed, Ciampa explained that he is enjoying the freedom to expand on ideas he was unable to fully explore earlier in his career.
“The Psycho Killer character is coming into a life of its own,” Ciampa said. “There was a lot of stuff left on the table I didn’t fully get to play with and experiment with prior to NXT, so it’s been fun creatively to flesh out a lot of those ideas.”
He went on to tease that AEW could be preparing something significant behind the scenes, potentially aligning with one of the company’s biggest events of the year.
“There are some big plans we’re working on behind the scenes with The Psycho Killer,” he continued. “Pro wrestling has a lot to do with timing, and we’re hoping the timing will work out just in time for Wembley.”
Ciampa also emphasized how much he values the collaborative environment in AEW, noting that it has allowed him to fully embrace his creative vision.
“There are a lot of fun projects in the works, and the last four, five, six months have been so exciting. I love collaborating, and we’ve got a great team of minds here to help push the envelope. When that’s taken away from the performer, that locks them up. Creatively for me, it’s giving me an outlet I haven’t had for a long time.”
The TNT Champion is coming off a notable victory over Chris Jericho at AEW Dynamite: Beach Break in Clearwater, Florida. He currently holds a 9-4 singles record in AEW, with losses to Kyle Fletcher, Darby Allin, and twice to Mark Briscoe.
While no official announcement has been made, Tommaso Ciampa AEW plans appear to be building toward a potentially significant moment at AEW All In in Wembley Stadium this summer.
