Sheamus AEW rumors continue to build following his reported WWE exit, with many fans wondering if a reunion of The Bar could be on the horizon. Claudio Castagnoli has now addressed the speculation, but he stopped short of giving a definitive answer about his longtime tag team partner’s future.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Castagnoli made it clear that he does not intend to speak on behalf of Sheamus while his next move remains undecided.

“I feel that’s not for me to talk about. I feel that is for him to talk about when he’s ready for it.”

While the question continues to follow him, Castagnoli emphasized that any decision about a potential move belongs entirely to Sheamus. He acknowledged their ongoing friendship but maintained that it is not his place to confirm or deny anything at this stage.

“I’ve stayed friends with him throughout. Of course, I would like to see my friends on a more regular basis, of course. But I do feel that is his to answer when he’s ready for it.”

Despite avoiding speculation, Castagnoli did reveal that the two have remained close behind the scenes. He shared that they have been training together and even joked about plans beyond their in-ring careers.

“Me and him have been doing a lot of training together, a lot of further education if you will… and what we eventually would really like to do is get our refereeing degree and then become the VAR.”

The speculation surrounding Sheamus AEW rumors has only intensified since he reportedly entered free agency. Many fans have pointed to the success of The Bar in WWE and believe a reunion could strengthen AEW’s tag team division.
