Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill Qualify For SummerSlam Ladder Match

The first two competitors have officially secured their spots in the upcoming ladder match to crown an interim WWE Women’s Champion at SummerSlam.

Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill both won their respective qualifying matches on 7/17 WWE SmackDown, earning entry into the high-stakes bout where five women will compete for the interim title.

Stratton was the first to punch her ticket, defeating Jacy Jayne in a decisive victory to advance to SummerSlam.

Cargill’s path to qualification, however, came under unusual circumstances. She was scheduled to face Nia Jax, but the match ended in a disqualification after Charlotte Flair interfered. Flair attacked Cargill before the match could properly unfold, targeting her arm with a steel chair in retaliation for last week’s incident involving Alexa Bliss.

Flair attempted to escalate the attack further by preparing to stomp on the chair-wrapped arm, but Michin and B-Fab rushed in to pull Cargill out of harm’s way. Despite the chaotic ending, the disqualification result awarded Cargill the victory, securing her place in the ladder match.

Following the match, tensions continued to rise backstage. An irate Nia Jax responded by attacking Flair, adding another layer to the developing rivalry.

As a result of the confrontation, WWE officials have announced another qualifying match for next week. Nia Jax will face Charlotte Flair, with the winner advancing to SummerSlam and joining Stratton and Cargill in the ladder match.

The interim WWE Women’s Championship will be decided at SummerSlam, as WWE moves forward while current champion Rhea Ripley continues her recovery.
