AEW Dynamite “Beach Break” Results – July 8, 2026 – Welcome to Wrestling Attitude’s live coverage results for AEW Dynamite on July 8, live from the BayCare Sound in Clearwater Beach, Florida.
Kenny Omega Backstage With Renee Paquette
Omega stands with Nakazawa and says tonight is the moment where everything either comes together or falls apart. His career has always thrived when the pressure is at its highest — from small halls in JAPW and DDT to PWG and every indie stop along the way. That history is why Nakazawa is the only one at his side. Omega says if this truly ends for him tonight, he’ll shake MJF’s hand… but he doesn’t believe that’s the outcome waiting for him. The ring will feel like an oven at 102 degrees, and he wonders if MJF can withstand that heat long enough to put him down. Tonight will reveal whether MJF is ready to carry AEW into Wembley as its top name. Omega closes by saying that if this is one of the last times he gets to say it, he’ll make it count — goodbye, goodnight, bang.
Excalibur Welcomes Us
Excalibur runs down the stakes once more — if Omega loses, he’s done as a challenger for the AEW World Title forever. He then sends us straight to the entrances for the opening grudge match of the night.
Jericho vs. Tommaso Ciampa
Ciampa and Jericho don’t even wait for the bell. Ciampa tries to lurk off to the side during his entrance, but Jericho comes storming through the crowd and meets him on the ramp, throwing punches as “Judas” keeps playing. Jericho suplexes Ciampa straight through a beach‑themed deck chair near the tiki bar, slicing open the back of his leg in the process. He drags Ciampa to the ring to finally start the match, only to toss him right back out and hit a top‑rope dive to the floor. Jericho takes too long admiring his work, giving Ciampa the opening to yank him into a draping DDT between the ropes.
Jericho avoids a Death Valley Driver on the apron and hits one of his own. They fight up the steps, where Ciampa plants Jericho with a Fairytale Ending on the steel. Ciampa celebrates, even stopping to kiss a bald fan at ringside while telling the camera “bald is beautiful, ass clown,” as Jericho bleeds heavily heading into the break.
Back from commercial, they trade chops until Jericho hits a corner clothesline and climbs up for punches. Ciampa slips underneath and drills him with an Avalanche Air Raid Crash for two. Ciampa sweeps the legs and tries to turn Jericho over for the Walls, but Jericho rolls him up for a close call. Jericho then hits a top‑rope hurricanrana and a brainbuster for another two count.
They slug it out until Ciampa grabs a bucket of sand, but Jericho blasts him with a Codebreaker. Jericho drives sand into the cut on his leg as he hits a bulldog, but misses the Lionsault. Ciampa charges with two running knees, goes for a third, and Jericho counters into the Walls of Jericho. Aubrey takes the bucket away, but Ciampa grabs a handful of sand and blinds Jericho. One more charging knee drops Jericho, and Ciampa scores the pin.
Winner: Tommaso Ciampa
Ciampa isn’t finished. He smashes Jericho in the head with a steel chair, then pulls a tool bag from under the ring. He takes out a power drill — the same obsession he’s teased for weeks — before security rushes in to stop him. Ciampa heads up the ramp, pops a floatie with the drill, and spins it around like a trophy as he leaves.
The Brawling Birds Segment
The Brawling Birds are shown roughing up a group of locals inside what looks like a British‑style pub in Clearwater. They toss people around the bar and say it feels good to get back to that kind of chaos again. The place even has a huge “The Brawling Birds” sign hanging inside, making it unclear whether this was meant to be a real bar or one they took over just for the beating.
Will Ospreay and MJF Backstage With Renee Paquette
Ospreay tells Renee that Kenny Omega is one of the greatest wrestlers to ever step in a ring, but he can’t overlook MJF. With Max, it’s never just the talent — it’s all the nonsense that comes with him. Ospreay says he hopes tonight ends with the All In main event being Omega vs. Ospreay.
MJF walks in immediately taking issue with that. He says Ospreay was rude and mocks him for chasing validation from Jon Moxley — doing a “Please sir, can I have some more?” impression. MJF says Ospreay is living in the golden era of 2026, claiming Ospreay thinks he’s “the feeling,” when MJF insists he has been the feeling all along. To Max, Ospreay and Omega are just “good little rasslers.” He hates that people want Omega vs. Ospreay for his Triple B, and says after tonight Omega won’t be able to challenge for the title again — or even look at himself in the mirror. MJF threatens to snap Ospreay’s “stack of dimes” neck and enjoy doing it in London.
Ospreay fires back, saying MJF must’ve mixed his mouthwash with cat piss and needs to take a few steps back. He tells Max he can be the youngest or the longest‑reigning champion, but he still can’t crack the Top 50 of all time. Ospreay says he knows 14‑year‑old girls better than MJF does, calling Max a beggar desperate to be part of the conversation. Until MJF can stand on his own, he’ll never be in that conversation.
MJF spits in Ospreay’s face. Renee bails instantly as security rushes in. A pull‑apart breaks out with MJF screaming that he’s the champion and Omega is a dead man — and that it’ll be Ospreay’s fault.
Konosuke Takeshita vs. Kyle Fletcher — AEW International Title
Takeshita and Fletcher start with tight grappling, trading headlocks and shoulder blocks before the pace picks up with a heavy forearm exchange. Both men shut down each other’s early finisher attempts until Takeshita blasts Fletcher with a Takeshita‑line. Callis, on commentary with Lance Archer beside him, explains that Takeshita was once his hand‑picked replacement for Omega, while Fletcher later became the replacement for Takeshita when Takeshita focused more on Japan.
Fletcher barrels through a clothesline and boots Takeshita to the floor, following with a PK. He pauses to drink water and gets cracked with a forearm for it. Takeshita stares down Callis and Archer, giving Fletcher the opening to post his arm and target it back inside. A desperation Exploder sends Fletcher outside, letting Takeshita clear the ropes with a Tope heading into the break.
Back from commercial, Takeshita hits a huge superplex and they rise into another forearm battle. Takeshita leaps for another Takeshita‑line, but Fletcher shuts it down with a boot. Fletcher misses a corner charge and Takeshita fires off a one‑arm Blue Thunder Bomb. They fight onto the apron, where Takeshita lands a Bastard Driver and follows with a wheelbarrow German on the edge. Inside, Takeshita hits a Poison Rana and charges for the Power Drive Knee, but Fletcher counters with a Michinoku Driver for two.
Takeshita ducks a lariat and hits one of his own, flipping Fletcher inside out. He climbs for a senton, but Fletcher cuts him off with a jump kick. Fletcher wants a brainbuster, but Takeshita slips out and plants him with a massive Last Ride. Callis swipes Takeshita’s foot to distract him, and Fletcher charges — only to get drilled with Raging Fire. The damaged arm slows Takeshita’s cover, giving Fletcher time to reach the ropes.
Takeshita lowers the knee pad and charges again, but Fletcher traps him in a roll‑up for two. They trade backslide attempts until Fletcher kicks the bad arm, hits a thrust kick, and drops Takeshita with a Sheer Drop Brainbuster — but Takeshita still kicks out. Fletcher hits a running corner kick, hoists Takeshita up, and delivers his Brainbuster clean for the three count and the championship.
Winner: Kyle Fletcher (new AEW International Champion)
The Don Callis Family floods the ring to celebrate Fletcher’s win. The Conglomeration and Mistico come out to check on Takeshita, who just suffered a rare clean loss in a title match.
The Callis Family Celebration With Mick Foley
After the break, The Callis Family are still in the ring celebrating Fletcher’s title win when they’re suddenly interrupted by “Guest Interviewer” Mick Foley — making his first appearance on TBS since 1994. The crowd erupts. Foley says tonight isn’t about him, it’s about the new International Champion, Kyle Fletcher. He praises Fletcher’s performance and asks how it felt to beat Takeshita. Fletcher fires back that Takeshita was never his friend — Fletcher was always the top guy, and Takeshita was just hanging on. Fletcher says he fulfilled ProtOkada’s promise by bringing the title back to The Family.
Callis cuts Foley off, saying this is a celebration and not a moment for Foley to hog the spotlight from real young talent. Foley snaps back, saying credibility is something Callis wouldn’t recognize, and when he says Fletcher is one of the finest young wrestlers he’s seen, he means it. Foley shows off his custom shoes with his dogs painted on them and warns Callis that if he disrespects him again, one of those shoes is going somewhere unpleasant.
Callis brags that The Callis Family now holds the National, International, and TNT Championships, then introduces Kevin Knight. Knight applauds Fletcher from the stage, saying it took him long enough to bring gold back home. Knight reminds everyone he’s still owed a World Title shot for walking through Death’s Door. Whether Omega or “Fraudman” wins tonight, Jet‑2‑Belts is coming.
Andrade El Idolo Confronts The Callis Family
Andrade arrives in a suit and trenchcoat despite the Florida heat. He says Callis messed up — Callis promised him the World Title, and now Andrade promises he’ll take one of Fletcher’s belts instead. Callis says Andrade’s obsession with championships is exhausting, but if Andrade wants gold, he can earn it: beat Jake Doyle next week and he’ll get Mark Davis for the National Title. Andrade calmly says “Tranquillo, Tranquillo,” then asks one question — “How You Know?” — daring The Callis Family to bring the fight.
They chase Andrade backstage, where Darby Allin suddenly appears and attacks Knight. Brian Cage and Jake Doyle jump Darby. Knight tells Cage to ignore Darby’s backpack and grab the skateboard instead. Cage swings it — and it explodes in his face. Doyle points at Andrade, who’s holding a remote, yelling “How You Know?” as Andrade and Allin brawl with Doyle and Knight to close the segment.
Jon Moxley & Will Ospreay vs. The Workhorsemen
Henry and Drake are already in the ring as the match begins. Henry trades takedowns with Moxley, but Moxley quickly abandons the mat work and lights him up with chops. Henry fires a spin kick to the ribs and tags Drake, who happily joins the chop exchange. Henry sneaks a blind tag and snaps Moxley’s neck with a twisting kick, allowing Drake to hit a senton for two. Moxley demands more punishment, catches Drake’s boot, and yanks him down with a Dragon Screw before tagging Ospreay. Ospreay bursts in with a snap hurricanrana. Both Workhorsemen spill outside, and Ospreay wipes them out with a slingshot crossbody heading into commercial.
During the break, Drake trips Ospreay, drags him outside, and blasts him with his bounce‑back clubbing shot off the apron. That gives Henry and Drake the opening to isolate Ospreay in the ring.
Back from commercial, Henry hits a reverse suplex and Drake follows with a Shining Wizard. Ospreay fights back with a handspring corkscrew kick and finally reaches Moxley. Moxley storms in, hits an Elbow Suicida on Drake, then returns to the ring to unload corner punches and even bites Drake’s head. Henry eats a Cutter for good measure.
Drake wants a strike battle, so Moxley rolls outside and gets fired up by Marina Shafir, who slaps him hard across the face. Drake absorbs a lariat, so Ospreay shoves Moxley aside and plants Drake with a Styles Clash. Moxley spikes Henry with a piledriver. A Paradigm Shift from Moxley and a Hidden Blade from Ospreay crush Drake, and Moxley scores the pin.
Winners: Jon Moxley & Will Ospreay
– Video package for new TBS Champion Hikaru Shida, who said you can now refer to her as The Ace of TBS and TBS now stands for The Best Shida
Women’s Casino Gauntlet for a shot at the AEW Women’s Title at Redemption
Mercedes Mone is perched on the lifeguard tower on the stage before the match begins, while Thekla joins commentary with a drink in hand.
Athena and Maya World enter at #1 and #2 after winning their qualifiers on Collision. They trade fast pin attempts right away, as Thekla casually mentions the last time she went to a casino she walked out with $10,000 and a stripper on her lap, so she’s thrilled about this “casino thing.” Skye Blue is #3, armed with a kendo stick. World ducks and Athena takes the shot. World tries a springboard but jumps straight into a kendo strike and a neckbreaker for two. Blue gets yanked outside and powerslammed into the steps. Thekla, unfazed, offers Schiavone a sip of her drink. He declines, saying he doesn’t want her to spit on him, and Thekla reminds him he seemed to enjoy it last time, popping Excalibur and Taz. During the commercial banter, Thekla suggests Schiavone should sell the jacket she spat on because he could make good money off it. In the ring, forearms and near falls pile up until Mina Shirakawa enters at #4, hitting flying clotheslines and head scissors. Thekla says wrestling Shirakawa is like wrestling a blow‑up doll and wishes they were friends so she could (motorboat sound).
Rina enters at #5 and immediately throws heavy forearms with Shirakawa. They dropkick Blue together, but Rina fakes a high five and kicks Shirakawa instead. Athena takes a shotgun dropkick; World gets her arm snapped back for a near fall. Julia Hart is #6 with a trash can lid and starts smashing everyone, hitting a lungblower on Athena that drives her head into the lid. Hart drags Athena outside and blasts her with a chair, then hits a security guard for good measure. Hart and Blue start wiping out ringside attendants as the show heads to another break. During picture‑in‑picture, they continue attacking everyone, including the other competitors. Athena and Blue fight in the ring while Hart holds Shirakawa down outside. Thekla says she has no pick to win because this whole thing is a “sh*t show.”
Thunder Rosa is #7 and runs wild with Stunners and a running dropkick to Blue, who’s holding a chair. Rosa hits a Samoan Drop on Hart onto the trash can lid, but World breaks the count and takes a double stomp. Rina and Rosa trade shots until Rosa hits a Ushigoroshi for two. Rosa screams, unaware Athena is flying in with an O‑Face. Shirakawa breaks the cover but eats an O‑Face herself, forcing everyone else to break the pin.
Willow Nightingale returns at #8 to a huge pop. Athena gets wiped out with a boot on the stage, and Nightingale dishes out spinebusters and clotheslines in the ring. Thekla wonders if Nightingale was ever injured with how good she looks. Nightingale wipes out a pile with a cannonball off the apron and hits a DVD on Athena on the floor. Blue takes a Michinoku Driver outside from World. Hart gets spiked with a Doctor Bomb from Nightingale in the ring, giving Nightingale the win.
Winner: Willow Nightingale
Post‑match, Thekla spears Nightingale in the ring. On the ramp, Lena Kross and Megan Bayne attack Hart and Blue while Thekla remains unaware. Thekla prepares to hit Nightingale with the Women’s Title, but Mone blindsides her with the Owen Hart Title and Nightingale gets dropped as well. Mone stands tall while Divine Dominion poses on the ramp, with commentary noting the trio has clearly formed an alliance.
MJF vs. Kenny Omega for the AEW World Title
Big match introductions from Justin Roberts, as MJF — wearing Bam Bam Bigelow–inspired gear — gets handed a note during his intro declaring he’s not from “filthy Florida, land of racism and incest.” He calls himself the man who kicked out of the One‑Winged Angel and promises to end Omega’s legacy.
They start swinging immediately until MJF goes to the throat. Omega fires back with a snap German and even teases the One‑Winged Angel early, but MJF grabs the ropes and both spill over the top to the floor. MJF bolts into the crowd with Omega chasing him, and fans scatter as Omega launches MJF into a pile of chairs. Back in the ring, Omega lines up a V‑Trigger, but MJF yanks Bryce into the path, giving MJF the opening to shoot a double‑leg and bite Omega. MJF tells the camera he’s moonwalking to Wembley whether anyone likes it or not. Omega avoids a Heat Seeker, but MJF quickly hits a slingshot Cutter for two. MJF stalls forever setting up another Heat Seeker, allowing Omega to escape and drag him up the ramp, where Omega sends MJF head‑first into the lifeguard chair. Omega climbs the tower and hits a huge Moonsault off it to a massive pop.
Omega returns to the ring and hits a perfect dropkick that sends MJF outside, lining him up for the Terminator Dive. Back inside, Omega hits the Kotaro Crusher and the leg‑trap neckbreaker, but MJF drop toe holds him into the ropes to avoid a V‑Trigger. MJF misses a charge and eats a Snap Dragon. They trade strikes, build momentum, and collide with a double clothesline for a double down. Omega charges again, but MJF catches him with a powerbomb onto the knee and a Package Piledriver for two. MJF clears the announce table — now practically touching the ring — and tries a Tombstone off the apron, but Omega slips back inside. Omega then blasts MJF with a charging V‑Trigger that sends MJF flying off the apron with a Foley‑style head‑first crash through the table heading into commercial. During the break, Omega keeps pouring water into his eyes, likely dealing with sand.
Back from break, Omega tries a One‑Winged Angel on the apron, but MJF rakes the eyes. Omega goes for You Can’t Escape, hits the first part, but MJF gets the knees up on the Moonsault off the guardrail. MJF picks Omega up and runs him into a Tombstone on a seated chair, wrecking his own leg in the process. Back inside, MJF misses the Heat Seeker and jams his knee. Omega tries a V‑Trigger but collapses. MJF tries a charge but also collapses, and Omega explodes up with a V‑Trigger. MJF fights off the One‑Winged Angel, so Omega transitions into Croyt’s Wrath and a V‑Trigger to the back in the corner. They climb up top, Omega wants an Avalanche One‑Winged Angel, but MJF counters into an Avalanche Poison Rana and hits the Heat Seeker for the closest two of the night, sending the crowd into chaos.
MJF rolls outside and grabs the AEW World Title, but Bryce catches him. As Bryce removes it, MJF pulls out the Dynamite Diamond Ring — only for Will Ospreay to sprint out and rip it away. With Bryce and MJF distracted, Omega considers using the title on MJF but decides against it. MJF immediately hits a low blow and a belt shot, but Omega kicks out at one, shocking everyone, including Ospreay watching from the stage. Omega unloads with strikes and three dead‑center V‑Triggers, then hits the One‑Winged Angel for the win and the World Title as the crowd erupts.
Winner: Kenny Omega (new champion)
