NXT Championship Match: Tony D’Angelo vs. Naraku

Tony fired off punches right away and Naraku bailed to the floor. Naraku grabbed a chair, but Tony didn’t wait around. He charged and speared Naraku straight through the cylinder, blowing the whole thing apart as the fight spilled into chaos.

They returned to the ring and Tony kept throwing punches at Naraku. Naraku bailed to the floor again, and Tony followed him out. When Tony stepped back inside, Naraku caught him with a boot to the head and followed with more boots to keep him down.

Naraku sent Tony into the turnbuckles and scraped Tony’s face across the top rope. Tony answered with shoulders in the corner and tried to lock in a bear hug, but Naraku raked the eye and sent Tony crashing to the floor. The referee checked on Tony and held Naraku back. The ref even threatened to stop the match, but Tony refused and said he wasn’t done.

Tony rolled back in and fired punches and chops at Naraku. He clotheslined Naraku and tried to send him over the top rope, but Naraku stayed in the ring. Tony hit a suplex, and Naraku crawled to the ropes to slow things down.

Tony went for a kick, but Naraku blocked it and sent Tony face‑first into the apron. Naraku followed with an STO on the apron and rolled Tony back inside for a two count. Naraku hammered Tony with punches, then hit an Irish whip into a backbreaker for another count of two. Naraku locked in a single‑leg crab, but Tony kicked him off. Naraku booted him and hit a suplex into the turnbuckles for a close call.

Naraku slammed Tony’s head into the mat, chopped him, and hit a back senton for another two count. Naraku locked in an STF. Tony crawled toward the ropes, so Naraku tried dragging him back to the center, but Tony reversed into an STF of his own. Naraku bit Tony’s wrist to escape and hit a fisherman’s suplex followed by a rolling punch for a two count. Naraku clamped on a reverse chinlock.

Tony fired back with a fisherman’s suplex, sending Naraku rolling to the floor. Tony tried to grab him, but Naraku punched him and sent Tony crashing through the ringside barrier. They returned to the ring, where Naraku hit a sit‑out Death Valley Driver for a two count.

Naraku put Tony on the turnbuckles and set up a superplex. Tony slipped under him and hit a running powerbomb. Naraku answered with a punch and forearms, and Tony demanded more. Tony fired punches, Naraku kicked him, but Tony hit a clothesline and an Irish whip. Tony smashed Naraku with a corner clothesline and followed with a bulldog.

Tony hit a German suplex, then a second one. He followed with a pop‑up powerslam for a two count. Tony went for a spinebuster, but Naraku countered with a German suplex — and Tony popped right back up. Tony grabbed Naraku and hit a chokeslam for the three count.

Winner: Tony D’Angelo

Women’s North American Championship Match: Zaria vs. Tatum Paxley

They played tug‑of‑war with the title before the bell even rang, and Tatum ended the game with a headbutt. She followed with a dropkick, but Zaria cut her off with a hot shot across the ropes and a clothesline. Zaria hit an Irish whip and smashed Tatum with an elbow in the corner, then added another elbow and a bicycle kick. Zaria followed with a German suplex.

Zaria hit a release suplex and rammed Tatum into the corner with repeated shoulders. Tatum leaped over her and stomped her down with a double stomp. Tatum then launched herself with a crossbody into the turnbuckles. Zaria tried a suplex, but Tatum slipped out — only for Zaria to pop her up and headbutt her out of mid‑air, sending Tatum crashing to the floor.

Zaria grabbed Tatum and locked in a rear naked choke while dragging her off the floor. Tatum escaped, yanked up the ring skirt, and blasted Zaria with a superkick followed by an enzuigiri. Zaria recovered enough to send Tatum over the ringside barrier.

Tatum grabbed a sleeper on the floor, but Zaria countered and drilled her with a backpack driver on the outside. Zaria threw Tatum back into the ring and kicked her in the back of the head. Tatum fired punches, but Zaria shut her down with a slap and hammered forearms across her back. Zaria covered and got a two count.

Zaria whipped Tatum into the corner and splashed her. She hit another Irish whip and another splash. Tatum fired off a string of kicks, but Zaria blocked one and avoided the enzuigiri. Zaria dropped an elbow for a two count, then drove Tatum face‑first into the mat. Zaria followed with a release suplex and locked in a camel clutch.

Tatum fought to her feet and escaped, but Zaria hit more forearms across her back. Tatum slipped out of a powerbomb attempt, and Zaria blocked a back heel kick. Tatum avoided Zaria’s punches and fired back with punches and kicks of her own. Tatum was sent into the turnbuckles, and Zaria muscled her onto her shoulders and dropped her across the top turnbuckle.

Zaria stretched Tatum over the turnbuckle, bending her across the steel. Tatum fired knees to break free and then dropped Zaria onto the turnbuckles to stop the hold.

Tatum climbed up top and hit a crossbody. She followed with a pair of running forearms and a round kick. Zaria blocked a German suplex, elbowed free, but Tatum muscled her over with a German using the ropes for leverage. Tatum avoided a kick and blasted Zaria with a thrust kick on the turnbuckles. Tatum climbed again, Zaria blocked the superplex, but Tatum powered through and hit it — only to run straight into a spear from Zaria.

Zaria threw a punch, Tatum answered with a forearm, and they kept swinging. Zaria caught her with a kick and then whipped her hard into the corner. Zaria lifted Tatum and locked in a rear naked choke while standing. Tatum fired elbows and stayed on the ropes. Tatum then trapped Zaria in the tree of woe. Tatum climbed for a Coast to Coast, but Zaria pulled herself upright, forcing Tatum to change plans.

They both moved to the apron and traded forearms. Zaria hit a bicycle kick and muscled Tatum onto her shoulders.

Tatum flipped Zaria off her shoulders with a sunset flip powerbomb off the apron to the floor. Tatum grabbed the title belt and hugged it, but Zaria yanked it away and swung, missing completely. Tatum blasted her with a rolling kick and hit Cemetery Drive on the floor. She rolled Zaria into the ring and hit Cemetery Drive again, but Zaria kicked out at two.

Zaria blocked another Cemetery Drive, and Tatum blocked an F5 into a victory roll for a near fall. Zaria answered with a spear and an F5, but Tatum kicked out. Tatum started laughing while Zaria grew more frustrated, hammering forearms into the back of Tatum’s head. Zaria stomped her face into the mat with a curb stomp, then hauled Tatum up and hit another F5 for the three count.

Winner: Zaria

Backstage – Wren Sinclair & Kendal Grey

Wren paced in the locker room while Kendal talked about how Wren reacted when she saw the interview. Kendal told Wren she’s going to beat Arianna. Wren said Kendal is going to prove she’s the present.

Backstage — Robert Stone & Vanity Project

Stone was in his office with Vanity Project, and the trio made it clear they didn’t want to talk to him. They said they had star power, they said they should be all over the Bash, and they said Stone wasn’t giving them what they deserved.

Stone didn’t blink. He told Jackson he’ll be facing Mason Rook. Then he told Brad and Ricky they’ll be defending the tag titles against Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno del Mal.

Vanity Project didn’t get the spotlight they wanted — they got matches instead.

Tristan Angels vs. Shiloh Hill

Angels flashed his sash to Hill and tried to sneak in a cheap shot, but Hill saw it coming and chopped him across the back. Hill followed with a flying shoulder tackle that sent Angels to the floor. Hill grabbed the sash, forcing Angels to scramble back into the ring. Hill scooped him up for an airplane spin, sending Angels stumbling to the floor again to regain his balance.

Hill rammed Angels into the turnbuckles, but Angels answered with an Irish whip. Hill hit a shoulder and went for a kick, but Angels trapped him in the ropes, chopped him, and stomped him with a double‑foot drop. Angels threw punches and chops, but Hill fired back with a back body drop and a punch. Hill chopped Angels again, blocked a kick, and smashed him with a corner clothesline. Hill put Angels on the top rope, chopped him, and knocked him to the floor with a knee lift.

Angels recovered with a double throat thrust and sent Hill into the ringside barrier. Hill spun on the apron and clotheslined Angels, then rolled him back inside — only for Angels to catch him with a kick. Angels hit a jawbreaker and whipped Hill sternum‑first into the turnbuckles. Hill chopped back, Angels punched, and Angels hit another hard whip that sent Hill chest‑first into the buckles again. Angels kicked away at him. Hill threw punches but missed a shoulder in the corner and crashed into the turnbuckles. Angels targeted the shoulder and locked in a double wrist lock. Hill tried a slam, but Angels slipped out, took him down, and dropped an elbow for a two count.

Angels went back to the double wrist lock. He missed a boot, and Hill rolled to the floor and slipped under the ring. Angels looked underneath — and Hill yanked him under. The lights went out, and the StoneTron showed Angels trapped under the ring. A phone rang beneath the ring, repeating “the fog is coming… and it is here.” Hill wrapped on a sleeper and body scissors. Angels fought back by hitting Hill with the cables and escaped to the outside. Hill came up behind him with another sleeper. Hill dragged Angels onto the apron and hit a leg drop. Hill climbed up top and hit a flying clothesline.

Hill followed Angels to the floor. Hill charged off the ring steps with a clothesline, but Angels moved and sent Hill crashing into the apron. Angels shoved the ring steps out of the way, clearing space for whatever he had planned next.

Angels tried to suplex Hill onto the steps, but Hill blocked it. Angels hit a hot shot and snapped Hill throat‑first into the ropes. Angels threw Hill into the turnbuckles, but Hill reversed and sent Angels into the buckles instead. Hill’s tooth came out and Angels kicked it away. Angels hit an Irish whip and cracked Hill with an enzuigiri for a two count. Angels sent Hill into the turnbuckles again. He tried another Irish whip, but ran straight into a boot. They hit clotheslines at the same time and both went down.

Angels stomped Hill’s hand and slammed him. Angels went up top but missed the elbow drop when Hill moved. Hill punched Angels, grabbed him by the throat, and shoved his own tooth into Angels’ mouth. Hill planted him face‑first and hit a tilt‑a‑whirl slam.

Hill followed with a powerbomb out of a Razor’s Edge position for a near fall. They went to the floor again, and Hill hit an inward senton on the outside. Back in the ring, Angels caught Hill with a kick and sent him into the ring post. Angels set for a dive, but Hill ran up the stairs and speared him out of mid‑air. Angels answered with a Codebreaker for a two count. Angels missed a knee drop to the back of the neck.

Hill dragged Angels to the turnbuckles, lifted him, and hit a TKO off the top for the three count.

Winner: Shiloh Hill

Post‑Match Interview

Emily caught Hill after the match. Hill said he felt relieved. He said Tristan is everything he doesn’t want to be. He said he might not be pretty, perfect, or polished — but none of that affects winning.

Backstage — Natalya, Nikkita, Karmen, Layla

Nikkita congratulated Nattie on her new record, and Karmen talked about how Jaida reacted to it.

Nattie told them that if they want to make it to the top, they need to listen to her. She pointed out Nikkita winning the EVOLVE title and what Karmen accomplished in AAA. She congratulated Layla on her invite to the Dungeon and said she doesn’t want anyone soft in her business.

Layla suggested giving Jaida another chance, but Nattie shut that down immediately. She said that isn’t how things are done — and that Karmen will take care of Jaida on Tuesday.

Backstage — EK Prosper & Robert Stone

EK Prosper said he doesn’t want to be held back anymore.

Stone told him he has to wait.

Stone then added that he won’t be waiting long — because on Tuesday, EK has a title match. He’ll be facing El Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Latin American Championship.

Women’s Speed Championship Match: Wren Sinclair vs. Arianna Grace

Wren shot in for a takedown right at the start, but Grace caught her with a boot and rolled her up for a quick two count. Grace clamped on a side headlock, but Wren knocked her down with a shoulder tackle. Wren hit a leapfrog face‑plant for a count of two and kept the front facelock tight until Grace broke free with a punch and hit a neckbreaker for her own near fall.

Grace whipped Wren into the corner, but Wren sent her to the apron and knocked her to the floor with a back heel kick. Wren followed with a forearm to the back and held the front facelock until Grace drove her spine‑first into the apron. They returned to the ring, where Grace hit a corkscrew back elbow. She threw Wren into the turnbuckles and kicked her down, then sent her into the buckles again.

Grace hit a suplex and a forearm for two. She drove a knee into Wren’s ribs, kicked the hamstrings, and dropped a knee on the leg for another near fall. Grace tried another suplex, but Wren blocked it and rolled her up for two. Wren followed with another rollup for another two count. Grace punched her, Wren hit a back elbow, and Grace cut her off on the turnbuckles. Grace threw a forearm and set for a superplex, but Wren shoved her down and hit a crossbody.

Wren fired off clotheslines and hit a butterfly suplex. Charlie jumped on the apron to distract her, and Wren knocked her off. Grace tried to steal it with an inside cradle, but Wren kicked out. They traded missed kicks, Wren cracked her with a forearm, hit Bang O Rang, and locked in Final Wrench. Grace tapped out.

Winner: Wren Sinclair

Saquon Shugars vs. Dion Lennox

Dion threw the first punch and Saquon fired right back, chopping Dion across the chest. Dion swung again, but Saquon sent him into the turnbuckles and chopped him down. Dion dumped Saquon to the floor, but Saquon came back with a single‑leg takedown and punched away at him. Dion whipped Saquon, but Saquon exploded out of the corner with a clothesline. Saquon threw his jacket at Dion, snapped him over with a snap mare, and hit a dropkick.

Dion kicked at Saquon’s leg and booted him down. Saquon answered with a kick and got a count of two. Saquon went for a neckbreaker, Dion slipped out, and Dion launched him with a back body drop. Dion kicked him in the back and hit a backbreaker. Dion followed with another backbreaker for a two count. Saquon escaped the hold, hit a backbreaker of his own, and followed with a swinging neckbreaker for a close call.

Saquon stomped Dion’s head, but Dion stood up right in Saquon’s face. Saquon hung him on the ropes with a hanging neckbreaker.

Osiris and Cutler gingerly made their way to the ring, keeping their distance but making their presence felt. Dion dropped Saquon throat‑first on the rope and followed with a chokeslam from the apron. Dion splashed Saquon’s back and got a count of two. Dion whipped Saquon hard into the corner and threw more punches. Dion kept punching and then sent Saquon to the floor right in front of Cutler and Osiris. The referee warned them to stay back.

Saquon got back inside and Dion hit another backbreaker for a two count. Dion followed with a hard Irish whip for another close call. Saquon fought back with elbows and forearms, but Dion shut him down with a T‑bone suplex for a two count. Dion locked on a waist lock and drove knees into Saquon’s ribs and back. Dion stretched Saquon out and cracked him with a forearm across the spine.

Dion kept the waist lock tight, but Saquon slipped out of a slam and rolled him up for a two count. Saquon followed with an inside cradle for another two. Dion blocked a backslide, but Saquon rolled him up again for another close call. Dion shut it down with a spinebuster for a near fall. Dion went after the leg, but Saquon kicked him to the floor.

Dion came back in and set for a reverse DDT, but Saquon escaped and hit a suplex, then cartwheeled into a dropkick. Saquon sent Dion into the turnbuckles and hit a punch and a kick. Saquon kneed him in the midsection and dropped the strap. Saquon unloaded with punches and kicks in the corner. Saquon hit a back body drop, then a backbreaker and a flatliner for a two count. Saquon kicked Dion on the turnbuckles and got another near fall.

Saquon hit a slingshot leg drop for two. He went up top, but Dion hit the ropes and crotched him. Saquon knocked Dion off, but Dion got back up and dropped Saquon onto the top turnbuckle, sending him crashing to the floor. Dion hit a powerslam for a near fall. Saquon punched him, Dion slapped him, Saquon missed a dropkick, and Dion hit a clothesline and another clothesline for a two count.

Saquon fired punches and kicks. He hit a hip attack in the corner and put Dion on the turnbuckles, but Dion escaped. Saquon climbed again and hit an inward frog splash for the three count.

Winner: Saquon Shugars

After the match, Osiris and Cutler attacked Saquon and hit a toss double powerbomb. Dion grabbed the bat and drove it into Saquon’s midsection multiple times.

Backstage — Emily Interviews Tatum Paxley

Emily asked Tatum about the loss, and Tatum said that when she won the title, it was the first time she ever did something for herself — not for anyone else. Without the championship, she said she feels empty and sad, like she let everyone down.

Kelani Jordan walked in and told Tatum she’s had so many chances and keeps losing. Kelani said she won the North American Title and still hasn’t gotten a world title match, then called Tatum pathetic.

Tatum punched Kelani, and officials rushed in to hold her back.

North American Championship Match: Myles Borne vs. Tavion Heights

They shook hands before locking up. Myles went for a waist lock, but Tavion countered with a standing switch into a side headlock. Myles slipped out and they locked up again. Tavion dropped for the leg, then shifted into a front facelock. They stayed tied up, Tavion keeping the front facelock tight. Myles went for a fireman’s carry, Tavion blocked it, and Myles switched to a waist lock. The referee stepped in and separated them.

Tavion hit a double‑leg takedown and got a quick two count. Myles answered with a backslide for his own two count. Tavion cracked him with a headbutt. Myles dropkicked Tavion over the top rope to the floor. They went face‑to‑face outside before returning to the ring. Tavion hit a shoulder tackle, but Myles didn’t budge. Myles hit a double‑leg takedown, but Tavion scrambled and got top position. Tavion landed on his feet off a hip toss, and Myles took him down again. Tavion knew the powerslam was coming and grabbed the ropes to block it. Tavion hit a boot, Myles went to the apron, and Myles powered Tavion up and slammed him.

Myles hit a fisherman’s suplex for a count of two and kept a front face lock cinched in. Tavion reversed, Myles reversed back, and Tavion drove Myles into the turnbuckles. Tavion put Myles on the top rope and hit shoulders in the corner. Tavion kept the front face lock, but Myles rolled him up for a near fall. Tavion ran Myles into the buckles again and put him back on the turnbuckles. Both men fell to the floor and the referee checked on them.

They got back inside and Tavion hit a punch, then hesitated, unsure of what he just did. Tavion hot‑shotted Myles and hit a running clothesline for a near fall. Tavion rolled through, got Myles on his shoulders, and dropped him face‑first to the mat. Tavion hit a gutwrench suplex for a two count. Tavion locked in a rear chin lock and drove elbows into the clavicle. He went back to the reverse chin lock and sleeper. Myles punched free, Tavion blocked a kick, and Tavion hit a T‑bone suplex for a near fall. Tavion went right back to the sleeper.

Myles escaped the sleeper and Tavion sent him to the mat, stomping on him. Tavion locked in a double wrist lock, then shifted to a hammerlock and drove Myles into the turnbuckles. Tavion dropped into a Fujiwara armbar, but Myles powered out with a back drop and got a two count. Myles threw punches, Tavion cut him off with a double throat thrust, then hoisted Myles and sent him over the top rope to the floor. Tavion followed, threw Myles back inside, and got another near fall. Tavion clamped on a reverse chin lock. Myles whipped him off, but Tavion hit an O’Connor Roll into a belly‑to‑back suplex for a close call. Tavion went right back to the sleeper. Myles fought out with elbows.

Myles whipped Tavion, Tavion hit a boot, and Myles answered with a powerslam for two. Myles hit another fisherman’s suplex for another two count. Myles punched away, but Tavion hit a shoulder breaker for a near fall and went to an armbar. Tavion tried another shoulder breaker, but Myles slipped out. Myles went for a hip toss, Tavion countered with an arm drag into an arm submission. Myles rolled him up for a near fall. Tavion locked in a cross arm breaker, but Myles blocked it. Myles got a near fall when he muscled Tavion up for a one‑arm powerbomb to break free. Myles hit clotheslines and a dropkick, then a European uppercut and a GTR for a near fall. Myles went for a slam, Tavion slipped out, and Myles clotheslined him over the top rope. Tavion answered with an overhead belly‑to‑belly suplex on the floor.

Tavion threw Myles back inside and got a near fall. Tavion put Myles on his shoulders and hit an electric chair drop. Tavion went up top and hit a frog splash for a two count. Myles whipped Tavion and hit a German suplex. Tavion tried to lift him again, but Myles countered with Borne Again for the three count.

Winner: Myles Borne

After the match, they shook hands and Tavion left the ring while Myles celebrated.

Emily interviewed Myles afterward. Myles said he is uncomfortable. He said he fought his hardest and Tavion pushed him to be a better champion. He said Tavion will get a championship, but not tonight. He said the title is the most important thing he has. He’s held it for four months, and whether friend or foe, he plans to hold it for a long time.

– We were told that AAA and NXT Heatwave will be in Texas on August 30th.

Backstage/Outside — Blake, Kevin, David, Hank & Tank, Keanu

We returned outside to Blake, Kevin, and David. They talked about the main event, about Myles Borne’s win, and about Tatum Paxley’s situation.

Hank Walker and Tank Ledger joined them on the stage.

Keanu Carver came out next, complaining that EK Prosper was getting a title match and he wasn’t. Keanu said it was ridiculous, said he wasn’t waiting anymore, and said Stone was playing favorites.

Security tried to keep him back, but Keanu tossed one of them straight into Hank and Tank. Hank lost his footing, fell off the stage, and crashed through a table.

– Tuesday, Mason Rook faces Jackson Drake.  Jaida Parker faces Karmen Petrovic.  Vanity Project defends the tag titles against Dr. Wagnrr Jr. and Galeno.  El Hijo del Vikingo defensds the AAA Latin American Championship against EK Prosper.

Women’s NXT Championship Match: Lola Vice vs. Kendal Grey

They locked up and neither woman budged, ending in a stalemate. They went to a test of strength, Kendal dropped for the leg, but Lola blocked it. Kendal hit a takedown into a waist lock. Lola slipped free and Kendal avoided the kick that followed. Lola hit a double‑leg takedown and tried to swing into a cross arm breaker, but Kendal kept out of it. Kendal grabbed a waist lock and rolled Lola up for a near fall. Lola answered with a hip‑lock takedown for a two count and held a front facelock.

Kendal worked into a wrist lock, Lola reversed, and Lola hit a forearm. Lola kicked Kendal against the ropes. Kendal hit a takedown and got another near fall. Lola held the ropes on an O’Connor Roll. Kendal tried to stand, but Lola kicked her in the chest and then the back. Lola threw punches, Kendal fired forearms in the corner, and Kendal chopped her. Lola chopped back. Lola hit a slingshot arm drag, then a few more arm drags, but Kendal rolled through into a reverse chin lock.

Lola rolled Kendal up for a near fall. Lola snapped on a headscissors, Kendal slipped out, and went right back to the reverse chin lock. Kendal kicked Lola, moved aside, and Lola spilled to the floor. Lola yanked Kendal down with her, but Kendal blocked a kick and hit a European uppercut.

Kelani Jordan ran down and tried to attack Kendal, but Wren Sinclair cut her off and they fought to the back.

Lola kicked Kendal in the midsection to knock her off the apron, then hit a double‑knee strike off the apron. They returned to the ring and Lola hit a back elbow for two. Lola followed with a few suplexes and got another near fall. Kendal answered with a suplex of her own, then hammered elbows into the clavicle and dropped an elbow for a near fall. Kendal locked in a reverse chin lock. They hit clotheslines at the same time and both went down.

Lola fired off a series of kicks and spinning round kicks. She hit Naomi kicks, then a hip‑shaking running hip strike, then another. Lola hit a belly‑to‑back suplex. Kendal escaped the next one and hit a German suplex. The straps came down. Kendal hit a series of side suplexes. Lola blocked a German and hit one of her own. Kendal hit another German. Kendal hit an elbow, Lola answered with another German. Lola hit a forearm, Kendal punched back. They moved to kicks, then back to forearms and punches. Lola hit a knee and a kick. Kendal hit a thrust kick. Lola caught Kendal coming off the ropes with a spinning back heel kick. Lola hit a seated splash off the apron. Kendal grabbed the ankle lock. Kendal went to the ringside barrier and hit Shades of Grey. Kendal locked in another ankle lock, Lola countered with an ankle lock of her own. Kendal tried for an armbar, Lola countered into a cross arm breaker. Kendal rolled her up for a near fall. Lola locked in a sleeper.

Kendal reversed into a rear naked choke. Lola ran Kendal’s throat into the ropes. Lola ran into a knee and Kendal missed a double‑jump moonsault. Lola hit a spinning round kick for a near fall. Lola locked in a guillotine. Lola shifted to a triangle to block a Northern Lights suplex. Lola hit a spinning back fist, Kendal hit an elbow. Both women fell into a one‑arm cover for a near fall.
