Royal Rumble Expected to Return to United States in 2027 – The WWE Royal Rumble may be heading back to the United States after its 2026 international stop. WWE held the Premium Live Event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on January 31 as part of its ongoing partnership with the country, marking the first time the show was staged there.
According to WrestleVotes Radio, backstage talk during Royal Rumble weekend suggested the event is likely to return to a domestic stadium in 2027. While no location has been confirmed, the expectation internally is that the show will once again take place in the United States.
There has also been ongoing discussion in recent years about potentially expanding the Royal Rumble into a two-night event, similar to WrestleMania and SummerSlam. However, the current belief is that the 2027 edition will remain a single-night show, keeping with the traditional format that has defined the event for decades.
WWE’s 2026 Premium Live Event schedule reflects the company’s continued global approach, with major shows spread across both international and U.S. markets. The Royal Rumble in Riyadh kicked off the calendar, followed by several stadium and arena events scheduled throughout the year.
