Sami says he is not a big destiny guy and stays away from cliches, but the timing has been exceptional. He main evented Wrestlemania and now the title is in reach. He has to not think about those 11 other times.
Wade asks what happens if Sami wins in Saudi Arabia. How does that compare to other title wins? Sami says it doesn’t feel different from when you are a kid. To able to be himself and for that to be good enough to chance stereotypes and perceptions. He says it was a dream of his mom. He says it is big to do something like that. To be able to beat the man he has never been able to beat. It might be more significant than what he has ever done before. It feels different.
– Byron Saxton is with Drew McIntyre. Byron asks Drew about what Sami said.on Smackdown and if Sami has an edge. Drew says no and he says he is not the same Sami Zayn he beat eleven times. The self-belief is a difference. Drew addresses Punk being on the panel. Drew says you talk about being a fightning champon on Raw, you are disrespecting the title. You have to earn the right to face the champion. Sami earned his shot. It will come down to one kick, and it won’t be his.

WWE Royal Rumble 2026 Preview
The Road to WrestleMania officially begins tonight as WWE presents the 2026 Royal Rumble from the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Two winners — one man and one woman — will earn guaranteed championship opportunities at WrestleMania 42, setting the stage for the company’s biggest event of the year.
The Men’s Royal Rumble Match is shaping up to be one of the most stacked in recent memory. Thirty competitors will battle for the right to headline WrestleMania, with several top names already confirmed. Cody Rhodes, Brock Lesnar, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Austin Theory, Penta, Jacob Fatu, and Oba Femi are all slated to compete. The biggest headline, however, is the return of Roman Reigns, who appears more motivated than ever to reclaim his place atop WWE.
Reigns recently addressed the state of the locker room during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, delivering a pointed message about his mindset heading into the match: “We got people over here playing around trying to figure it out, and I got the formula. I know how to cook it up.” His comments have only fueled speculation that the former champion is entering the Rumble with something to prove.
The Women’s Royal Rumble Match features an equally impressive lineup. Former champions Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Liv Morgan, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Becky Lynch are all confirmed. The match is also surrounded by heavy speculation, with fans buzzing about potential surprise entrants. Names like Bianca Belair and AJ Lee have circulated widely, and Becky Lynch added intrigue during a recent interview, saying: “If she would like to show up, I would like to beat her and retire her and send her off and hopefully we won’t see her for another decade.” Whether Lee appears or not, the women’s field promises unpredictability and star power.
