WWE Planning Another AAA Event in the U.S. – WWE is preparing to host another Lucha Libre AAA event in the United States before the end of 2025, according to a new report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. While specific details on the exact date and location have yet to be confirmed, the plan is reportedly moving forward as part of WWE’s ongoing collaboration with AAA.
Meltzer wrote, “There are right now plans for another AAA show in the U.S. before the end of the year.”
This follows the success of June’s Worlds Collide event, which took place in Inglewood, California. That show was headlined by AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo successfully defending his title against WWE star Chad Gable. The cross-promotional card showcased talent from both promotions, drawing attention to the unique partnership.
The partnership will continue this weekend at Triplemania in Mexico City. Vikingo is set to defend his AAA Mega Championship in a four-way match against Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano (Chad Gable). The event will stream live on WWE’s YouTube channel in both English and Spanish, giving fans worldwide access to the high-profile bout.
WWE officially announced its acquisition of AAA in April 2025, bringing one of Mexico’s top wrestling promotions under its corporate umbrella. The move has opened the door for cross-promotional events, talent exchanges, and broader exposure for AAA’s stars in the U.S. market.
If the upcoming U.S. show takes place as planned, it will mark another step in WWE’s strategy to expand the AAA brand internationally while offering fans more high-profile Lucha Libre action.
