Apollo Crews Shows In-Ring Progress in Recovery from Torn Pec

Apollo Crews Shows In-Ring Progress in Recovery from Torn Pec – Apollo Crews appears to be making strong progress in his recovery from a torn pectoral muscle as he moves closer to a WWE in-ring return. This week, the 37-year-old posted a video on his Instagram stories showing him training inside the ring at Natalya and Tyson Kidd’s Dungeon facility. In the clip, Crews was seen working with independent wrestler Eli Knight, signaling that his rehabilitation is advancing well.

Crews suffered the injury on the January 24, 2025, episode of SmackDown during a match against Johnny Gargano. The torn pec occurred while taking a backcracker, but despite clearly favoring his shoulder, Crews pushed through and scored the victory via roll-up. Surgery to repair the muscle was performed in early February, beginning his road to recovery.

In a May update, Crews revealed that he was “feeling good” and “crushing the rehab process.” He noted that the injury never caused significant physical pain, but the mental adjustment took time, particularly in the weeks following the setback. Since then, he has been consistently sharing recovery milestones with fans, including weightlifting sessions and gym workouts aimed at rebuilding strength.

Crews’ latest in-ring training session marks his first known ring work since the injury, and while no official WWE return date has been announced, the footage suggests that he is getting closer to being cleared for competition.

A WWE veteran of 10 years, Crews joined the company in 2015 and has held both the Intercontinental and United States Championships. His return would add further depth to WWE’s roster, particularly in the mid-card and upper mid-card scene.
