News & Notes From AEW All In Media Scrum

News & Notes From AEW All In Media Scrum – Following AEW’s historic All In: Texas pay-per-view at Globe Life Field, several top AEW stars and President Tony Khan spoke with the media during a post-show press conference. Attendees included Hangman Page, Athena, Toni Storm, Kazuchika Okada (with Don Callis), and new TNT Champion Dustin Rhodes.

Here are the key highlights:

Tony Khan

  • Khan confirmed All In was the largest North American crowd in AEW history, with “close to 30,000” in attendance, and early PPV buys exceeded previous records.
  • On Adam Cole, Khan said Cole was scheduled to compete up until Friday night. Cole felt unwell between then and Saturday morning and was pulled from the show after they spoke again. Khan praised the roster for adjusting, calling the four-way TNT Title match “exceptional lemonade out of lemons.”
  • Future plans include:
    • A desire to return to Arena Mexico, calling it “the cathedral of pro wrestling.”
    • Interest in expanding into Chile and Puerto Rico.
    • Continuing to rebuild the men’s tag division, praising the Bucks vs. Swerve/Ospreay bout.
  • Khan also addressed Women’s Tag Titles, saying injuries—like Jamie Hayter’s—delayed potential plans.
  • When asked how Casino Gauntlet winners (MJF and Athena) will receive title shots, Khan said details would be revealed on television.
  • On Grand Slam Mexico, he noted its TBS/HBO Max viewership was among AEW’s strongest in a long time.
  • Khan again emphasized that moving forward, all Unified Championship matches will be under Continental Rules, banning outside interference.

Hangman Page

  • Page described his AEW World Title win over Jon Moxley as one of the most meaningful moments of his life, reflecting on his six-year journey.
  • When asked if this second reign vindicates his first, Page admitted he now better understands what being champion truly means.
  • He addressed Swerve Strickland’s assist, saying he may never know why Swerve helped him, but felt peace in letting go of the past and looking forward to the future.

Athena

  • The winner of the Women’s Casino Gauntlet match declared she is “forever,” calling herself the best wrestler in the world.
  • When asked if her win was more significant than Goldberg’s retirement, she dismissed the question, saying: “Who?”
  • Athena revealed she owns Metroplex Wrestling and will launch weekly shows, with the first event set for August 9, aimed at developing women’s talent in Texas.

Toni Storm

  • Storm appeared in character, read a letter, answered a few questions, and then exited with Renee Paquette without offering major updates.

Kazuchika Okada & Don Callis

  • Callis proclaimed the night was the end of Kenny Omega, as Okada defeated him to become AEW Unified Champion.
  • Okada mocked Omega post-match, sarcastically saying, “Get well soon.”
  • Khan praised the match’s video production and storytelling.
  • When asked about Okada defending the title in Mexico or Japan, Callis said, “We’re global citizens.”
  • Callis supported Khan’s decision to enforce Continental Rules on all future Unified title bouts.

Dustin Rhodes

  • An emotional Rhodes said winning the TNT Title ranks in the top 5–7 moments of his career.
  • He referred to himself as “Dustin Three Belts” after winning twice on All In night.
  • Regarding the Texas Outlaws name, Rhodes said his nephews Wayne and Wyatt want to go by The Rhodes Brothers, so he’s holding on to the “Texas Outlaws” moniker for now.
  • He also expressed sympathy over Adam Cole’s health and was proud to step up when needed.

With a record-setting crowd, multiple title changes, the unification of AEW’s top titles, and emotional highs throughout the night, All In: Texas looks to be a pivotal event in AEW’s ongoing evolution. The fallout is sure to reshape the coming months across AEW programming.
