Seth Rollins Calls CM Punk a Hypocrite – Seth Rollins did not hold back when discussing his heated rivalry with CM Punk. The two WWE Superstars are set to collide in a Steel Cage Match on the March 10 episode of WWE RAW, following their brawl on this week’s show.
On the March 3 episode of RAW, Punk took shots at John Cena and The Rock, calling them “bald frauds” while also claiming that Cena had lied to the fans and given up on himself. Shortly after, he and Rollins got physical, further escalating their ongoing feud.
Speaking on the RAW Recap podcast, Rollins explained why his hatred for Punk runs deep, calling the former WWE Champion a hypocrite.
“I mean, look at the guy. He is a hypocrite,” Rollins said. “The world is going to sit there and talk about all these wonderful, great things he said about John Cena and The Rock. Dude, you’ve done everything and more that you’re accusing these guys of. You’re a coward, you’re a fraud, you gave up on your dream to main event WrestleMania years ago.”
Rollins continued, accusing Punk of making others suffer without ever taking accountability.
“That’s the thing. He’s made other people suffer and never owned up to it. Tonight is just a microcosm of all the reasons that I hate this guy,” he added. “There’s love in other places. There’s love for Roman Reigns. Do I agree with what he stands for? Absolutely not. But there’s a seed of love in there somewhere. With CM Punk, there’s no seed of love. That’s gone. He erased that a long time ago. So it’s pure, unadulterated hatred. That’s all I have for him.”
With tensions running high, Rollins and Punk are set to clash inside a steel cage at Madison Square Garden next Monday, continuing one of the most intense rivalries in WWE today.
