The mysterious faction that has been causing chaos in NXT has finally revealed their name—Darkstate.
On the March 19 episode of WWE NXT, the faction struck once again, this time targeting Tony D’Angelo. Backstage, D’Angelo was blindsided and powerbombed through a table while the rest of his family was occupied in the ring. Later in the show, the group appeared unmasked for the first time, delivering a chilling backstage promo. Saquon Shugars officially introduced their name, declaring that Darkstate was just getting started.
Darkstate’s night didn’t end there. After Trick Williams emerged victorious against Eddy Thorpe in an NXT Underground Match, he called out Oba Femi. As Femi made his way to the ring, Darkstate appeared in the crowd, shifting the atmosphere. Amid the distraction, Je’Von Evans stormed the ring and confronted Williams, sparking a chaotic brawl. The Evolve roster, who had surrounded the ring during the match, attempted to break up the fight. However, the chaos allowed Evans to hit a cutter on Femi, leaving Darkstate to observe the mayhem before the show went off the air.
Darkstate first emerged at Vengeance Day last month, where they launched a brutal attack on several NXT stars, including Josh Briggs, Yoshiki Inamura, Nathan Frazer, Axiom, and Oba Femi. Since then, they have continued their rampage, disrupting the WWE Performance Center and ambushing Je’Von Evans at Roadblock after his hard-fought victory against Ethan Page in a street fight.
With their name now known and their intentions clear, Darkstate has made it evident that their takeover of NXT is far from over.
