Erik And Ivar Return As War Raiders, Advance In Tag Team Tournament – After weeks of cryptic vignettes teasing their comeback, Erik and Ivar made their long-awaited return to WWE on the October 14 edition of RAW, reintroducing themselves as The War Raiders.
Previously known as The Viking Raiders, the duo wasted no time reestablishing their dominance, defeating Alpha Academy (Akira Tozawa and Otis) in their first tag team match together since September 2023. The return was particularly significant for Ivar, who had been sidelined with a neck injury, with his last in-ring appearance taking place on the April 30 edition of NXT.
The War Raiders sealed the victory by executing their new finishing move, The Fallout, on Akira Tozawa, leading to a pinfall win. This victory not only marked their return but also advanced Erik and Ivar in the newly established WWE World Tag Team Championship tournament. With their physical style and newfound momentum, the War Raiders are quickly becoming top contenders in the tag division.
WWE has also announced two other tournament matches for the upcoming October 21 episode of RAW. The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) will square off against the Authors of Pain, while Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee will face the powerhouse team of American Made (Brutus Creed and Julius Creed). With these exciting matches on the horizon, the tag division continues to heat up.
