Cody Rhodes Accepts Trick Williams’ Invitation to the Cookout – Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes appeared on the June 11 episode of WWE NXT and noted that it was magical there, and perhaps he needed to feel it heading into his title match at WWE Clash at the Castle.
Rhodes started to discuss his match against AJ Styles before NXT Champion Trick Willians joined him in the ring. Williams noted that the two of them had followed similar paths, and now everything felt different that they were on top of the mountain,
Williams asked Cody Rhodes how he dealt with people attacking him while he was on top. Rhodes responded by saying that there was always another mountain to climb, teasing a potential match between the two down the road.
Rhodes then announced that Trick Williams next challenger would be determined in a 25-man battle royal on the June 18 episode of WWE NXT. Rhodes teased that some of the participants might be from different locker rooms.
Trick then asked the big question by wondering whether “The American Nightmare” was coming to the cookout. Rhodes said he would be there, and they hugged.
