WWE Releases Xia Li and Xyon Quinn – After seven years with WWE, Xia Li has bid farewell to the company. The Chinese superstar took to Twitter on April 19 to share a heartfelt statement reflecting on her time in WWE.
In her statement, Li expressed pride in being the first female Chinese superstar in WWE and extended gratitude to Triple H and the entire WWE team. She thanked everyone who supported her throughout her journey, including fans, and emphasized that while this chapter may be closing, it marks a new beginning for her.
News of Li’s departure was confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, solidifying her exit from WWE.
Li first joined WWE in 2017 and competed in the inaugural Mae Young Classic. She also competed in the second Mae Young Classic. Li joined NXT in 2019 and competed in the Royal Rumble that year. She had a prominent run as Tian Sha in NXT.
Li moved to SmackDown in 2021 and had a brief run on RAW starting in 2023. She feuded with Becky Lynch, and she also competed in the Royal Rumble match. Li last competed at the WWE Main Event taping on April 15.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful also reports the release of Xyon Quinn had been released by WWE.
Quinn, also known as Daniel Vidot, is a former professional rugby player. He signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2018. He first appeared on WWE television in April 2020, where he lost to Sheamus. He then joined NXT and had a consistent run during the 2.0 era. Quinn was announced as a free agent in the 2023 WWE Draft, so he was able to appear on RAW and SmackDown.
Since then, he only wrestled twice. Quinn competed in a battle royal on the May 15, 2023, episode of WWE RAW. He has not competed since he lost to Bron Breakker in six seconds on the March 1, 2024, episode of WWE SmackDown.
