His opponent was revealed to be NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov. They battled back and forth, and Dragunov scored the win with a Torpedo Moscow.
The match marked Dragunov’s debut on the WWE main roster. The commentary team noted that the WWE Draft would be held on April 26 and 29. It is not known whether Dragunov’s appearance on Monday was a one-off; he may have been competing as a representative of NXT to promote the draft.
