CM Punk - Jack Perry Altercation Footage to Air on AEW Dynamite

CM Punk – Jack Perry Altercation Footage to Air on AEW Dynamite – CM Punk’s recent appearance on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour sparked controversy as he discussed his time in AEW and addressed his departure from the company. Punk’s candid remarks covered various topics, including the Brawl In incident involving Jack Perry and his criticisms of AEW President Tony Khan’s management style.

During the interview, Punk defended his actions, stating he believed he was “doing a responsible thing” and clarified, “I didn’t punch anybody, I just choked somebody a little bit.” He also refuted Tony Khan’s assertion that he had made him fear for his life.

In response to Punk’s statements, it was announced during the 4/6 episode of Collision that The Young Bucks would present backstage footage from All In and discuss the incident for the first time on the upcoming Dynamite episode. Reports from Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez suggest that this is not a bait-and-switch tactic, indicating that Tony Khan will indeed air the footage of the altercation from last August’s event in Wembley Stadium.

Alvarez and Meltzer also addressed it on Wrestling Observer Radio today.

Alvarez: “It is true that on Dynamite, Tony Khan is airing the Jack Perry-CM Punk footage from All In. It is not to bait and switch. When I first saw the graphic saying the Young Bucks when to show footage from All In, I immediately thought, ‘Okay, well, you know, the Young Bucks are heel characters, it’s going to be some goofy thing or whatever.’ But then I asked and I’m not talking like one person. Multiple people.”

Meltzer: “Well, I definitely can say that I definitely got it 100% confirmed.”

Alvarez: “It is 100%, they’re airing the footage. Tony was very upset about CM Punk’s interview. And apparently, I was told that he wanted to air this footage a long time ago. And for whatever reason, he did not. And now, I guess because of the timing and the interview and what CM Punk said, he is going to air it. And we’ve heard many sides of the story about what happened. We’re going to see Wednesday, but I think it’s safe to say that if it were the story that CM Punk told, I don’t know why Tony would air the footage.”
