Ospreay’s journey to AEW began when he was announced as the promotion’s new signing at AEW Full Gear in November. However, he opted to honor his commitments with NJPW before officially joining AEW. His final match in NJPW took place at NJPW New Beginning in Osaka on February 11. Following this, Ospreay is set to compete against Michael Oku in his last independent match at RevPro High Stakes on February 18, paving the way for his debut in AEW.
With his NJPW obligations coming to an end, Ospreay’s imminent arrival in AEW has fans eagerly anticipating his debut, which could potentially be set up on the February 21 episode of AEW Dynamite.
