However, their victory celebration was short-lived as the Young Bucks brutally attacked the new champions after the match.
In a digital exclusive, the Young Bucks addressed their actions, with Matthew expressing some remorse while Nicholas emphasized the necessity of their actions as EVPs of the company. Despite acknowledging Sting’s legendary status and Darby’s talent, they asserted that they had to protect their interests and make tough decisions for the company’s sake. They lamented the damage done to their expensive suits and expressed disappointment in Sting and Darby for not handling the situation differently.
Matthew Jackson: What a bummer, man, that Sting and Darby forced our hand and made us do that. That was terrible, I feel awful. Sting’s a freaking legend, and Darby’s a sweet dude.
Nicholas Jackson: He’s an icon. But you know what, as EVPs, we have to do the tough things. We have to make the tough decisions. It’s just business, and we had to do it. There’s no one else in this company that would do what we just did.
