Plans For Seth Rollins’ WrestleMania Opponent – Plans have taken a twist in the lead-up to WrestleMania 40, as WWE superstar Cody Rhodes, initially rumored to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title, has shifted gears.
During Thursday’s WrestleMania Kickoff event, Rhodes made it unequivocally clear that he intends to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, sparking a heated altercation before things escalated into a scuffle. As a result, Rollins finds himself without an opponent for the grand event.
However, the upcoming WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 premium live event is poised to change that. With a substantial number of tickets already sold, the event promises high-stakes matchups, including WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley defending her title against Nia Jax and the highly anticipated Women’s Elimination Chamber Match. Additionally, the Undisputed Tag Team Champions, The Judgment Day, are set to defend their titles.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported a potential development: “The belief is that Rollins will defend against the winner of the Men’s Chamber match on that same show, but such a match has not been announced.”
Based on recent television programming, it appears that Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn are poised to compete in the Men’s Chamber match, setting the stage for an electrifying showdown with Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title at WWE Elimination Chamber 2024.
