Jim Ross to call Sting’s Last Match, Reveals Contract Expiration – In the latest episode of the “Grilling JR” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross discussed plans for him to be in Greensboro, NC, for AEW Revolution to call Sting’s last match.
“I mentioned that (calling Sting’s last match at Revolution) to Tony Khan last night. He agreed. It’s only right. It makes sense,” Ross stated on the podcast.
Additionally, Ross revealed that his AEW contract is set to expire on February 14. In response to Conrad Thompson joking about Vince McMahon calling, Ross replied, “I can’t come til the 14th.” When asked if that’s the date when his contract is up, Ross confirmed, “Yeah.”
Expressing his desire to continue with AEW, Ross said, “I hope we can renew and finish up in AEW. I gotta be realistic about things, Connie. We talk about these birthdays, and I’m the same age as [Nick] Saban and [Bill] Belichick and all these cats. I love working with [AEW].”
