Andrade El Idolo Pulled from GCW Event – Game Changer Wrestling took to social media on Monday, January 8 to report the news. El Idolo was set to face Jonathan Gresham at the event, which is set to take place on Friday, January 12. Lio Rush was announced as El Idolo’s replacement in that bout.
Due to circumstances out of control, ANDRADE and MAKI ITOH will be unable to compete on Friday’s event in Chicago. The following replacements have been signed: MASHA SLAMOVICH will replace Maki Itoh, LIO RUSH will replace Andrade.
It is currently unknown why Andrade El Idolo was pulled from the event. Rumors have been circulating that El Idolo is returning to WWE, which might be why he is no longer able to compete for GCW.
