MJF Set To Defend AEW World Title Against Kenny Omega On Collision – MJF successfully defended his prized Dynamite Dozen Ring in the opening match of the October 25 episode of AEW Dynamite. He secured the victory with a pinfall after executing his signature Heatseeker piledriver against Juice Robinson.
Following the match, chaos erupted as Bullet Club Gold initiated an attack on MJF. However, a cavalry of reinforcements arrived to thwart their assault. Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett entered the ring to provide support for MJF.
The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens), along with Daddy Ass, joined the fray, effectively driving off The Gunns, Juice Robinson, and Jay White.
As MJF was making his exit, he was unexpectedly confronted by none other than Kenny Omega, known as ‘The Cleaner.’ In a direct and straightforward manner, Omega challenged MJF to a match for the AEW World Championship.
MJF readily accepted the challenge, setting the stage for an intense showdown on the October 28 episode of AEW Collision. This match carries immense significance as it represents the final opportunity for someone to dethrone MJF before he becomes the longest-reigning AEW World Champion in the promotion’s history.
MJF was also challenged for the ROH Tag Team Titles by The Gunns (Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn) to a mach at AEW Full Gear. Not being one to back down from a challenge, MJF accepted the bout.
Adam Cole, the other half of the ROH Tag Team Champions, is currently sidelined after undergoing ankle surgery. The Gunns said that MJF can bring the Devil with him to the match if he wanted. It is unknown if MJF will have a tag team partner in the match. He successfully defended the ROH Tag Team Titles against The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch) by himself at AEW WrestleDream.
