Chris Hero Announces Ring Return – Many wrestlers, after leaving WWE, take different paths in their careers. While some choose to retire or explore different professions, others remain in the wrestling industry by transitioning into various roles such as announcers, producers, managers, or trainers.
Chris Hero is one such wrestler who had a successful career in Ring of Honor (ROH) before joining WWE for his initial stint from 2011 to 2013. He returned for a second run in 2016, where he worked in NXT and the NXT UK brand. Unfortunately, he was released in April 2020 due to budget cuts.
Since his release, Chris Hero has not competed in wrestling matches. Earlier this year, he made the transition to a full-time producer. He recently made an appearance for West Coast Pro Wrestling and intervened to save JT Thorne from a post-match attack by Timothy Thatcher. Hero then challenged Thatcher to a match at the November 17th West Coast Pro Whiplash event, promising to showcase the “knockout artist” version of himself, signaling his return to in-ring competition.
