Backstage News On DIY Reunion – Johnny Gargano’s return to WWE on this past Monday’s edition of RAW marked a highly anticipated reunion with Tommaso Ciampa, reuniting DIY to fend off Imperium. However, despite the excitement surrounding their return, the pair has not yet embarked on a significant main roster tag team run.
The delay in DIY’s return to the main roster can be attributed in part to the original plans for their reunion being scrapped earlier this summer.
According to Fightful Select, Gargano was originally scheduled to make his return after Ciampa’s match against Seth Rollins for the world title on the June 19th episode of RAW. The plan was for Judgment Day to intervene during the match, with Gargano making a dramatic appearance to save Ciampa. However, these plans were ultimately discarded, and Ciampa had a match against Rollins, who successfully retained his title.
The report further indicates that plans for the June 19th episode of RAW were constantly changing before Gargano’s segment was ultimately scrapped. Many within the company were reportedly frustrated by the frequent alterations to the plans. Despite these initial setbacks, DIY has appartenly reunited on WWE screens, and fans are looking forward to what the future holds for the popular tag team.
