Saraya On Winning The AEW Women’s Title

Saraya On Winning The AEW Women’s Title – Saraya, the AEW Women’s Champion, recently reflected on her championship win and her unexpected return to wrestling after being forced to retire during her time in WWE. In an interview with Women’s Wrestling Talk, Saraya shared her gratitude for the opportunity to compete again and her uncertainty about how long her title reign will last.

She expressed her happiness about holding the championship again after nine years and the unexpected turn of events that allowed her to step back into the squared circle. Despite not knowing how long she’ll remain champion, Saraya cherished the moment of winning the AEW Women’s Championship, especially in her home country at Wembley Stadium.

Hopefully long and entertaining for everybody. I mean, I don’t know where it’s gonna go. I don’t know if I’ll lose it in a week’s time. I don’t know. But I’m just really happy that after nine years I never thought I would ever hold a championship again. I never thought I would wrestle again. And so yeah, just having that moment in Wembley in the UK where I’m from. It’s just, it was special. So, it can end tomorrow and I’ll be happy that I had that moment.

Saraya is set to defend her AEW Women’s Championship at the September 20th Dynamite Grand Slam event at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Her opponent will be determined in a four-way match featuring Toni Storm, Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, and Nyla Rose. Saraya is ready for the challenge, grateful for her wrestling journey, and prepared to make the most of her time as champion.
