Cargill’s journey to WWE follows her departure from AEW, where her contract had recently expired. She is now part of a select group of individuals who have transitioned from AEW to WWE since the latter’s launch in 2019, with Cody Rhodes being the other notable example.
Cargill made her wrestling debut in March 2021 during the pandemic, teaming up with basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal to take on Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet. She achieved significant success in AEW, becoming the inaugural AEW TBS Champion and holding the title for an impressive 508 days.
It’s worth noting that WWE has been developing main roster creative plans for Cargill, suggesting that her destination within the company is not NXT but rather the main roster.
