Backstage News On Authors Of Pain Potential WWE Return

The Authors Of Pain Returning To WWE?

Once again, reports are indicating a potential return of The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) to WWE in the near future.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, discussions have emerged over the past week regarding the potential return of The Authors of Pain, along with their former manager Paul Ellering, for appearances within WWE. The likely platform for these appearances would be NXT. Johnson initially caught wind of these discussions three weeks ago, and within the last 24 hours, there have been talks about them making appearances next month.

Additionally, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has also reported on the matter. According to Sapp’s sources, The Authors of Pain have been under contract since 2022, although this aspect has not been officially confirmed. Sapp’s sources have indicated that AOP returned to WWE before Vince McMahon’s return. Notably, The Authors of Pain ensured that their former manager, Paul Ellering, was involved in the negotiation process.

The Authors of Pain have been absent from wrestling since their release from WWE in 2020. They previously held the NXT and RAW Tag Team Championships during their initial run with the company. The potential return of AOP has garnered significant interest among fans and the wrestling community alike.
