7/7 WWE SmackDown Results

We begin with highlights from The Bloodline Civil War at Money in the Bank.

We are live from the Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY. as Michael Cole and Wade Barrett welcome us to the show. The Usos music hits in the arena as Jey and Jimmy make their way to the ring.

Jey says the Usos are in your city.  Jimmy says it feels good.  They said he couldn’t be beat.  They said he was unbeatable.  Guess what happened at Money in the Bank, HE GOT BEAT.  

Paul Heyman interrupts and he comes to the ring with Solo Sikoa. 

They enter the ring and Solo stands in the center. Paul says tonight he serves as defense counsel in this tribal court.   Paul presents defense exhibit number one. Jimmy and Jey tell Paul to shut his mouth.

Paul says neither tell him when to stop talking.  There is only one man in WWE who will ever tell Paul Heyman to stop talking. Solo covers the mic and takes it from Paul.  Solo tosses the mic to the floor and Paul Heyman is shocked, but Roman Reigns’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

We go to commercial.

Court is back in session and Roman wans the building to acknowledge him. He says he did get pinned, but he is still the tribal chief.  Roman says Jimmy isn’t the tribal chief.  Roman tells whether Jey believes it or not, he isn’t the tribal chief.  Roman says he is having trouble understanding why is here tonight.  If the Tribal Chief didn’t call Tribal Court, this isn’t official or legitimate.  He wants to know who has the authority to put him on trial.

Jimmy and Jey say that Roman is not going to manipulate them this time.

We have a video package of the Exhibits for the prosecution. Exhibit A is Roman making threats to the Usos and the way he treated Jimmy, Jey, Paul, and Solo.

Roman says that is not who he is.  He says that is who he was forced to be.  Do you think he wanted to do all that?  He says he did it for Jey.  He did it for Jimmy.  He did it for Solo.  Roman says he was a Wrestlemania main event before the Bloodline.  The Bloodline does not need him, the Bloodline needs him.  He did it for the the family and this is what he gets?  You compile my worst moments for my children to watch?  My daughter is in the back.  He says he took the weight of the world and he lifted them all up.  Did he need more responsibility?  He says he has five children.  Does he have to deal with you too?  Roman says he does not need this in his life.  Roman says he does not need the money or power.

He says umbrella service sounds nice to him right now.  Is that what you want?  Roman says he does not want it or need it.  Roman says he is done.  He says he is done with all of this.  If you want it, it is yours.

Roman drops his mic and Jey drops his mic too. He gets in Jey’s face and he takes off his ceremonial lei.  Roman says something to Jey and he puts it around Jey’s neck. Roman takes off his title belt and he gets down on his knees in front of Jey and starts to cry. Jey bends over to say something to Roman and Roman with a low blow to Jey.

Jimmy checks on Jey and then he punches and kicks Roman. Solo tosses Jimmy away.

Solo stands in the middle of the ring looking at the Official Tribal Lei of the Tribal Chief. Solo stops JImmy as he charges across the ring and Solo with a Samoan Spike to Jimmy. Solo picks up the lei and he looks at it.  While the crowd wants Solo to put it on, Jey attacks Roman and Solo.  Solo with a uranage to Jey.

Solo looks at the title belt while Roman hits a Superman punch on Jimmy.  Roman kicks Jimmy out of the ring and Solo and Roman go after him.  Roman with kicks while Solo adjusts the announce table.  Roman punches Jimmy and Jey hits Roman from behind.  Solo with a forearm to Jey.  Solo puts Jey on the apron and he ties Jey’s arms in the ropes so he has to watch what Roman and Solo do to Jimmy.

Roman has his title belt and he hits Jimmy in the head with it and then Roman hits Jimmy many times with the belt.  Roman sends Jimmy into the ring steps and then Roman picks up the top half of the steps and hits Jimmy with it.  Roman picks up the ring steps and hits Jimmy in the head with it.

Jey gets free and kicks Solo and he punches Roman.  Solo with a Samoan Spike to Jey.  Solo sends Jey over the announce table. Roman tells Solo to finish him.  Roman hits Jey with a chair and Roman holds officcials back.  Solo goes to the ringside barrier for a splash onto Jimmy through the announce table.

Paul puts the Official Lei of the Tribal Chief around Roman’s neck and all is right at the table.

Court is adjourned, after a commercial.

– We are back and Jimmy is being stretchered out of the building while Jey tells him that he is with him. We see everyone watching the ambulance drive away.

Sheamus vs. Austin Theory for the United States Championship

Sheamus runs Theory into the corner and he punches the champion.  Sheamus gets Theory on his shoulders but Theory escapes.  Theory with a boot to the head but Sheamus with a uranage back breaker and he clotheslines Theory over the top rope to the floor.  Sheamus with a double sledge off the apron.

We go to commercial.

ropes and he tries to give Sheamus a taste of his own medicine.  He gets in a few forearms but Sheamus with back elbows and a clothesline.  Sheamus with a slingshot shoulder tackle and he goes up top.  Sheamus with a knee drop for a near fall.  Theory with elbows to block a uranage.  Sheamus with a kick.  Theory with a running back elbow and he kicks Sheamus in the ribs.  Theory goes up top.  Sheamus with an uppercut to stop Theory.  Sheamus with a punch and forearms to the back.  Sheamus with an Air Raid Crash attempt from the turnbuckles but Theory escapes and hits Sheamus in the ribs.  Theory with Three Seconds Around the World for a near fall.

Sheamus with clotheslines in the corner followed by a slam.  Sheamus goes for a Celtic Cross but Theory gets to his feet and he goes to the apron.  Theory drops Sheamus on the top rope and Theory goes for a slingshot rolling drop kick but Sheamus counters with a power bomb for a near fall.  Sheamus with a Cloverleaf.

Pretty Deadly come to the ring and Sheamus punches Kit off the apron and he hits a series of forearms to Elton. Theory with a drop kick to Sheamus and he tries for A Town Down but Sheamus escapes and connects with a knee for a near fall.

Ridge Holland and Butch go after Kit and Elton at ringside. Sheamus with a Brogue kick to knock Kit off the apron.  Theory with a rollup for the three count.

Winner:  Austin Theory

We go to commercial.

– We are back with a series of photos showing the history of the WWWF/WWF/WWE in Madison Square Garden.

The Grayson Waller Effect:

Grayson Waller is in the ring. Waller mentions he hasn’t had a match on Smackdown but here he is in Madison Square Garden. There have been many huge moments in this building, but nothing as big as the announcement to be made by his guest, Edge.

Waler welcomes Edge to the show. Edge says it is a steamy, hot summer night in New York. Waller cuts off Edge and wants to know the big announcement.

Edge wants to know what Waller is talking about.  Edge says this is the 25th anniversary of his time in WWE.  We can celebrate it tonight and then in Toronto.

Waller tries to get Edge to say it but Waller says Edge is too embarrassed to say it.  Waller wants to know why Edge is back in WWE.

Edge says it is because of them.  Edge turns his attention to the crowd and he says they go way back.  Edge says his first PPV was SummerSlam 98.  He was Sable’s mystery partner against Mark Mero and Jacqueline.  He says he came through the crowd.  That night he ran and dove over the ropes and from that moment on, you opened your arms to him.  Edge says respect is hard won in New York City.  It is a city full of hard workers and big dreamers.  Edge says he is a hard worker and a big dreamer, even to this day.  

Edge says that is why they work. Waller says that Edge’s big announcement is that he is retiring.

Edge tells Waller last week, you were standing eye to eye with John Cena in London.  One week later, you are standing eye to eye with Edge in Madison Square Garden.  Someone sees something in you and you haven’t had a match on the main roster.  You have doggie paddled in the deep end and it is time to sink or swim.  Edge says he is not retiring and he is going to have a match tonight.  He says it will be him against Grayson Waller.

AJ Styles versus Karrion Kross is next, after a commercial.

AJ Styles vs. Karrion Kross

Kross with a forearm and punches to AJ.  Kross with a clothesline in the corner and punches.  Kross with a forearm to the back of the head.  Kross with a chin lock and AJ with a jaw breaker.  AJ with a Pele kick.  Kross sends AJ to the apron and AJ with a forearm.  Scarlett tries to pull AJ off the apron but AJ holds on.  Mia hits Scarlett and sends her into the ringside barrier.  Kross gets AJ on his shoulder but AJ with a forearm and a Phenomenal Forearm for the three count.

Winner:  AJ Styles

– Women’s Champion Asuka makes her way to the ring as we go to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Asuka says no one is ready for… being interrupted. Bianca Belair’s music plays and she comes to the ring and attacks Asuka. Charlotte Flair comes to the ring and Bianca meets her on the floor.  Charlotte runs Bianca into the apron.  Asuka wtih a baseball slide to both. 

Asuka goes up top but Iyo Sky hits Asuka from behind with the briefcase.  Bayley with a Rose Plant.  Iyo with a moonsault onto Asuka. Bianca grabs Bayley as she hands the briefcase to the referee.  Charlotte with a boot into the briefcase into Iyo’s head. Chaos!

– Edge makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.

Edge vs. Grayson Waller

They lock up and go to a stalemate.  Edge with shoulder tackles and a gutbuster.  Edge with another gutbuster.  Edge with a gutwrench suplex.  Edge with a forearm to the back.  Edge with a punch and he tries for a cross body but Edge catches him and hits a fallaway slam.  Edge sets for a spear but Waller with a jumping knee.  Waller sends Edge to the floor.  Waller with a clothesline on the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Waller goes to the turnbuckles and hits a tornado DDT for a near fall.  Waller with a cravate and knees.  Edge with punches and forearms.  Waller with a knee to the midsection.  Waller with a double sledge to the back of the head followed by an elbow drop to the back.  Waller goes to the turnbuckles but Edge with a forearm to the midsection.  Edge with a forearm and he sets for a superplex.  Waller blocks it and sends Edge face first to the mat.  Waller with a springboard elbow drop attempt but Edge gets his knees up.

Edge with a boot to the head followed by a flapjack.  Edge with a forearm and she slides under Waller on the apron and hits a power bomb on the floor.  Edge sends Waller back into the ring and Edge goes up top.  Edge with a cross body for a near fall.  Edge sets for an Impaler DDT but Waller blocks it.  Edge sends Waller into the turnbuckles and Waller with a leaping Unprettier for a near fall.  Waller with forearms to the back of the head.  Waller gets a near fall.  Waller with kicks to Edge.  Edge with punches but Waller with a forearm for a near fall.  Waller gets Edge on his shoulders and Edge gets to his feet and he hits Edgecution for a near fall.

Edge sets for a spear and Waller moves so Edge hits the turnbuckles.  Waller with a slingshot rolling move into the ring but Edge with a spear for the three count.

Winner:  Edge

After the match, Edge tells Waller that he swam.

Backstage:

We see Roman and Solo in the dressing room and Paul enters. Paul tells Roman that Jey is back in the building.  Paul says that Jey is looking for Roman. Roman says Jey doesn’t have to look long because he will be in the ring.

We go to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and next week Bianca Belair faces Asuka for the Women’s Title.

Roman, Solo, and Paul are in the ring.

Roman says they are going to do this one more time because he didn’t like it the first time.  Roman wants the building and the entire city to acknowledge him.

Jey Uso’s music plays and Roman and Solo wait for him to come through the entrance.

Jey comes through the crowd.

Solo goes to the floor and Jey with a cross body onto Solo.  Solo is sent into the ring post.  Jey sees Roman in the ring and Roman tells Jey to go.

Jey gets a chair and he brings it into the ring and he hits Roman in the ribs and back.  Solo gets the chair from Jey and Jey with a super kick to Solo and he hits Solo with the chair while Roman leaves the ring to let Solo face the consequences.

Jey takes the World Title belt and a mic.

Jey tells Roman he is the judge, jury, and executioner.  Jey says it is trial by combat.  He does not care about brothers or wisemen.  He tells Roman to accept his challenge so he can whoop his ass one more time.  

We go to credits.
