7/1 AEW Collision Results – The show opens up with the AEW World Champion MJF walking down to the ring. His opponent is Kip Morst, already in the ring. 

MJF vs. Kip Morst

MJF attacked him before the bell rings and hits the heatseeker. He stops the count at two. He puts Morst in the LeBelle lock and Morst taps. MJF wins and throws him out of the ring. 

Winner: MJF

Post-match, he talks about how bad the area is. He says that he will put his title on the line. Some unknown guy comes out but Ethan Page instead comes out for the challenge. MJF is about to say that Page is not on his level, but Page throws the mic before he can finish. He breaks a promo saying that he doesn’t know what he is capable of and those who do in the back, don’t give a crap. He brings up his father and says how he became the president of multiple companies. Calls MJF a “bare minimum” bi***. 

Page goes on how he is always there for the company and doesn’t get the recognition he deserves. Once his promo is finished, MJF actually agrees to defend his title, and the bell rings.

AEW World Championship Match: MJF (c) vs. “All Ego” Ethan Page

MJF gets the upper hand because Page turned his back. Page tries to hit his finisher, but it doesn’t work out. MJF goes after Page’s knee. The crowd yells, “You suck.” MJF hits the single-leg Boston crab. Page tries to crawl to the ropes, but MJF keeps pulling him back into the center of the ring.

Page finally gets to the ropes and the hold is broken. Page is in pain, he holds his knee. Goes to commercial break.

Back from the break. Page hits MJF with a few clotheslines and a big boot. He has MJF in the corner and picks him up and gets a two-count after hitting a powerslam. Page tries for an Ego Edge but it doesn’t work out. He later hits a twist of fate. At one point, Page waves to his daughter.  Another powerslam, but MJF breaks the count before it goes to three. Once again he goes for the ego edge but his knee goes out. MJF hits a dragon leg whip and hit the heatseeker for the win.

Winner: MJF

Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Quarterfinals Match: Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Dustin Rhodes

Back from the break. Hobbs and Rhodes lock up. Rhodes puts him in a side headlock. Rhodes tries to pin him but it doesn’t even get to a one count. Hobbs pushes him to the corner of the ring. Reverse Irish whip.

Hobbs knocks Rhodes out of the ring. He keeps slamming Rhodes’ head against the edge of the ring and QT Marshall throws Rhodes in the ring post headfirst, the official doesn’t see it. Rhodes is bleeding. Goes to commercial break.

Back from the break. Hobbs has been dominant throughout the match. Rhodes gets some energy. He hits a lariat. Rhodes hits the Cross Rhodes. He doesn’t go for the cover. Rhodes hits a piledriver and goes for the cover, but only gets a two-count.

Rhodes hits a Code Red, but still doesn’t get a three-count. Marshall tries to intervene in the match. Rhodes kicks out of the spinebuster. Rhodes hits the powerslam, but gets only a two-count. It’s back and forth. Marshall hits Rhodes with a right hand, ref doesn’t see, and Hobbs gets the win with a spinebuster.

Winner: Hobbs

Promo airs ahead of tonight’s main event between Joe and Strong. Miro’s music hits. His opponent is already in the ring, it’s Anthony Henry.

Miro vs. Anthony Henry

Miro stomps on Henry and then bodyslams him. He’s dominating the match. Miro just keeps throwing him around. Henry gets a kick in and then the double stomp. He kicks Miro in the head. Miro now kicks Henry to the head and Henry taps out to the camel clutch.

Winner: Miro

Shows clips from last week’s main event. Tony Schiavone is in the ring now and Bullet Club Gold comes out for an interview. The Gunns come out with Jay White and Robinson. Schiavone asks them what is next for Bullet Club Gold. White tells Schiavone that he doesn’t like his energy, it’s too low. White asks Tony if he’s jealous and if he wants to join the club. The Gunns talk about how they defeated all the fans’ favorites.

Schiavone says that Bullet Club members aren’t allowed to be out for the Starks vs. Robinson match. White takes the mic and calls out Punk and FTR.

Backstage with FTR, Starks, and Punk. Punk makes fun of White, while FTR teases the Gunns. They ask if the Gunns want a match today or next week. Commercial break.

Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Quarterfinals Match: Ricky Starks vs. Juice Robinson

Back from the break and Robinson is already in the ring. Starks come out. Robinson yells at Starks, saying, ‘You think I can’t do this on my own?” Starks hits a hip toss and then has him in a submission. Drop down and Starks hits hard. Robinson goes for his knee. The two punch each other over and then Robinson lifts Starks up and tosses him. Whiplash again to Starks. Commercial break.

Back from the break and it appears that Robinson has the upper hand. Robinson hits a cannonball and goes for the pin after, but only gets a two-count. Starks motions him to get going. A boot in the midsection. Starks gets up and right hands to Robinson. Starks hits a DDT.

Robinson uses his wife’s (Toni Storm) move, the Texas cloverleaf on Starks. After a bit, Starks finally gets to the rope. Both men are exhausted. Robinson spears Starks and goes for the pin. Starks then hits a spear. Robinson tries for the jackknife then roll-up, but Starks gets the pin instead.

Winner: Ricky Starks

Post-match, Bullet Club Gold comes out and surrounds the ring. FTR and Punk come out to save him. They run off.

Backstage with Christian Cage and Luchasaurus. Cage is holding the TNT Championship. Shawn Spears interrupts the interview. Cage tells him to walk away because he’s not dangerous. Spears tells him that he will see him soon and calls him “champ.”

AEW TBS Championship Match: Kris Statlander (c) vs. Lady Frost

Back from the break and Lady Frost is coming out to the ring and then Statlander comes out. The bell rings and the two lock up. Statlander lets go. The two go and back forth. Frost gets hit with a clothesline. Statlander has her in a waist lock. Back from the break. Frost kicks out from a piledriver. Frost hits a German suplex and kicks Statlander. She goes for the pin, but isn’t successful. Stanlander looks like she tripped before she could hit a move. Statlander gets her footing back and she hits the Friday Night Fever for the win, retaining her title. 

Winner: Statlander

Backstage with Andrade El Idolo. He calls out the House of Black for stealing his mask. He wants his mask back. Behind him on a TV, Malkaki Black and the rest of the group are on there and holding his mask.

Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Quarterfinals Match: Samoa Joe vs. Roderick Strong

Back from the break and it’s main event time. Punk comes out because he’s doing commentary. The crowd seems to be excited, though there are a few boos. Strong comes out to the ring and Joe follows. The crowd chants, “Joe.” Bell rings. Both men look at each other. They lock up. Strong puts Joe in a headlock. Strong hit some chops and then drop-kicks him. Strong kicks Joe through the ropes. The two then hit each other.

Back in the ring, they exchange chops and kicks. It’s back and forth. Strong is now in the corner and is hitting manhandled by Joe. Strong is thrown into the mat and Joe gets a two-count. Commercial time.

Back from the break. Joe keeps going for the pin, but Strong keeps kicking out. Joe starts clapping while Strong is on the ground. Strong gets some momentum and tries to knock Joe down. Strong hits the scoop and then hits the sick kick and tried to get a three-count. Joe tries to hit the muscle buster, but can’t. Strong slams Joe and goes for the pin, but Joe kicks out. Both men are standing toe to toe now. Strong tries for the end of heartache but instead gets choked out by Joe. He passes out.

Winner: Samoa Joe via referee stoppage

Post-match, Joe hits Strong on top of a steel chair. Adam Cole is now by his friend’s side. They are taking him on a stretcher now. Before that, Joe looked like he was going to go after Punk with the chair. The crowd is chanting Strong’s name.
