Four Pillars Tournament Is Not Quite Over – During tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Sammy Guevara battled Darby Allin to determine who would challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship at AEW Double or Nothing. This came after Guevara beat “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry on April 19 to advance.
At the end of Guevara vs. Allin, MJF handed Allin his skateboard, prompting Guevara to pretend like he got struck. The referee ultimately called for the bell and awarded the victory — and the Double or Nothing title match — to Guevara.
Perry ran down and made the save for Allin before Tony Schiavone announced that MJF and Guevara will now face Allin and Perry in a tag team match next week. If Allin and Perry win, they will officially be added to the world title bout to make it a Four Pillars four-way in Las Vegas.
Speaking of next week’s episode, a huge eight man tag team match will go down. Adam Cole, new AEW signee Roderick Strong, Orange Cassidy & Bandido will join forces to take on the Jericho Appreciation Society (Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager, Matt Menard & Angelo Parker). This will be Roderick Strong’s debut match for All Elite Wrestling after showing up as a surprise on the April 26 episode of Dynamite.
More matches for next Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite are expected to be announced in the coming days. As of this writing, here is the current card:
- Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Orange Cassidy & Bandido vs. Jericho Appreciation Society (Jake Hager, Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard & Angelo Parker)
- MJF & Sammy Guevara vs. Darby Allin & Jack Perry
