Blake Monroe Makes WWE In-Ring Debut at NXT Live Event – Blake Monroe, previously known to fans as Mariah May, made her in-ring debut under the WWE banner at an NXT live event on June 27 in Fort Pierce, Florida. Monroe competed in singles action against fellow NXT wrestler Laney Reid, scoring a victory in what marked her first match in over three months.
This debut was not only her first WWE outing but also her first match since March 2025, when she faced Toni Storm at AEW Revolution. That match was the payoff to a long-running storyline between the two and ultimately Monroe’s final appearance for AEW. After her departure from the promotion, she remained off the radar before resurfacing on WWE’s developmental brand earlier this month under her new ring name.
Though she has already been featured in backstage vignettes and character segments on NXT programming, this live event marked the true beginning of her in-ring journey in WWE. Monroe has made it clear through on-screen promos that she is aiming for championship gold and intends to rise quickly through the ranks in NXT.
While Monroe’s rebranding may still be new to WWE audiences, her fanbase from AEW remains invested. Many are watching closely to see how the transition unfolds now that she’s in a new environment with a fresh identity.
With a successful debut now behind her, Blake Monroe’s NXT career is officially underway. How quickly she ascends the women’s division remains to be seen—but her journey has clearly begun.
