Blake Monroe Defeats Giulia In Official WWE Debut Match Following Weeks Of Chaos

After weeks of brutal attacks, canceled matches, and emergency surgery, Blake Monroe finally got Giulia inside the squared circle on the October 2 episode of WWE SmackDown—and walked away with the win in her official main roster match.

WWE heavily promoted the showdown as Monroe’s official “in-ring debut,” despite the two stars being scheduled to wrestle multiple times over the past month only for their volatile issues to boil over before the bell could ring.

A Bitter Feud Built On Brawls And Surgery

The intense rivalry between the two women dates back to August 21, when Monroe was originally slated to make her blue-brand debut. Instead, Monroe blindsided Giulia during her entrance, sparking an unapproved ringside brawl that forced officials to call off the contest.

The animosity escalated significantly during the September 4 episode of SmackDown, where another backstage fight resulted in Giulia landing a devastating knee to Monroe’s face. Monroe later confirmed that the strike caused severe dental damage, requiring surgery and a recovery period:

  • August 21: Monroe attacks Giulia during her entrance, preempting their scheduled match.
  • September 4: A backstage brawl leaves Monroe with serious mouth injuries that require surgical procedure.
  • September 25: Another brawl breaks out, prompting SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis to mandate an official match.

High-Impact Action & The Decisive Finish

Once the match officially got underway in Denver, both competitors traded heavy offense. Giulia grabbed an early headlock takedown, but Monroe responded with a hurricanrana and a basement dropkick. After being kicked to the floor, Monroe sent Giulia crashing into the ring apron before drilling her with a knee strike.

Back inside the ring, Monroe maintained control with a snap suplex, even stepping on Giulia’s hair until the referee intervened. Giulia mounted a furious rally, firing back with a running forearm, a missile dropkick, an Arrivederci knee strike, and a Stomp, but Monroe kicked out before the three-count.

The finish came during a high-risk battle on the turnbuckle:

  1. Both women fought for leverage on the top rope.
  2. Monroe tripped Giulia, causing her to crash face-first into the turnbuckle pad.
  3. Monroe immediately capitalized, hooking the leg to secure the pinfall victory in her official SmackDown debut.

Whatever WWE wants to call the “debut,” Monroe now holds an official victory over Giulia, giving her full bragging rights after everything the two have put each other through over the past month.
