WWE’s upcoming Sunday Night’s Main Event special in Atlanta could soon be adding another major match to its lineup.
According to a report from False Finish, internal discussions have taken place regarding a potential one-on-one bout between former WWE Women’s United States Champion Giulia and recent main roster arrival Blake Monroe. If officially added to the card, the match would mark Monroe’s official in-ring debut on the main roster.
Tensions Escalating Ahead of Taped Broadcast
The rivalry between the two stars kicked off on the June 26 edition of SmackDown, when Monroe ambushed Giulia following her victory over Kiana James.
A scheduled match between the pair on August 21 failed to take place after Monroe launched another pre-match assault on the entrance ramp. Monroe later claimed she would not step inside a WWE ring unless her debut came against interim WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green.
During the taped August 28 episode of SmackDown at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, the two stars engaged in a heated brawl, furthering their feud and positioning their unresolved conflict for the upcoming Atlanta special.
