Former Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton has punched her ticket to the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
On the October 2 episode of WWE SmackDown, Stratton survived a high-stakes, action-packed Triple Threat Match against Tatum Paxley and Candice LeRae to secure the final coveted spot in the upcoming premium live event.
Non-Stop Action & Heavy Impact
From the opening bell, LeRae set an aggressive pace, taking the fight to both opponents before knocking Paxley off the apron and trapping Stratton in the corner. Stratton managed to turn the tide with a sharp Spinebuster, briefly aligning with Paxley to neutralize LeRae. The fragile alliance dissolved almost immediately as tempers flared between Stratton and Paxley. LeRae capitalized on the distraction, driving Stratton into the outer barricade before dropping Paxley with a snap suplex on the floor.
Back inside the ring, high-risk maneuvers dominated the matchup:
- Triple Submission Lockup: LeRae locked Stratton in a Half Crab while Paxley attempted to break it up by applying a Sleeper Hold on LeRae.
- Top-Rope Tower of Doom: All three women engaged in a dangerous standoff on the top turnbuckle that ended in a dramatic group crash to the canvas.
- Late-Match Offense: Paxley generated momentum with a kick to LeRae’s neck into a German Suplex. Stratton answered by planting LeRae with an Alabama Slam, following it up with a Swanton Bomb.
Prettiest Moonsault Ever Seals The Victory
The closing stretch turned into absolute chaos as finisher after finisher was delivered in rapid succession:
- Paxley caught Stratton with a dynamic spin kick.
- LeRae connected on Paxley with a Codebreaker Cannonball.
- Paxley responded by hitting Stratton with her signature Cemetery Drive.
LeRae nearly stole the victory with a pin attempt, but Stratton managed a late kick-out. Moments later, Paxley executed a 450 Splash onto LeRae, only for Stratton to seize the ultimate opportunist moment. Flying off the top rope, Stratton delivered the Prettiest Moonsault Ever onto the fallen competitors to score the pinfall victory.
With this win, Stratton joins the field for the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match on Saturday, October 10, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. A briefcase win would place Stratton one step closer to retrieving a world championship contract at any time of her choosing.
