Former WWE Star Jakara Jackson Returns to the Ring – Less than two months after her WWE release, Jakara Jackson has stepped back into the ring—this time under a new name and on her own terms. Now performing as Mara Sadé, the former NXT standout officially made her independent wrestling debut on June 27 at a 4th Rope Wrestling event in Paris, France.
Sadé teamed up with Tiara James in a tag team bout against JGU & Rhio. In her first match since departing WWE, she picked up a victory, marking a confident start to her post-WWE chapter. The match was her first since being released as part of the May 2 WWE talent cuts, which affected multiple NXT and main roster talents.
Following the match, Sadé took to X (formerly Twitter) to reflect on her return and reveal that she personally produced her entrance theme.
“Just debuted on the Indy scene in Paris AND my official theme song ‘Find yoself’ by yours trulyyy,” she wrote, signaling not only a return to the ring but a deeper involvement in her brand and presentation.
Sadé originally signed with WWE in 2021 and spent nearly three years in the company, performing regularly on NXT programming. Her most recent televised appearance came during NXT Stand & Deliver in April, where she and Lash Legend competed in a four-way match to determine the next challengers for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Her final WWE match took place at the World at WrestleMania 41 fan convention in early April.
Now embarking on a fresh chapter, Mara Sadé seems determined to carve out her identity in the independent scene—one entrance theme, and one victory, at a time.
