AEW Dynamite Viewers Down Despite Big Grand Slam Event

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite “Grand Slam” drew 1.039 million viewers, down from the 1.175 million viewers the show drew last week. In the 18-49 demographic, the show did a 0.35 rating, which is down from the 0.39 last week.

The show was stacked with five title matches. Last year’s Grand Slam special drew 1.273 million viewers and did a 0.48 key demo rating.

Last week was the highest key demo rating since June 1st, the post-Double or Nothing episode, and the highest total viewership since September 22, 2021.

Brandon Thurston of WrestleNomics reported the news. Here is a list of total viewership and the key demo rating that Dynamite has done over the last 4 episodes:

  • 8/31/22: 1,020,000 viewers – 0.35 key demo rating
  • 9/7/22: 1,035,000 viewers – 0.38 key demo rating
  • 9/14/22: 1,175,000 viewers – 0.39 key demo rating
  • 9/21/22: 1,039,000 viewers – 0.35 key demo rating – Grand Slam special
