Giovanni Vinci Makes NXT Debut – After weeks of vignettes that hyped him up as a “world-class sportsman”, the new Italian sensation, Giovanni Vinci, debuted on this week’s NXT episode and defeated Guru Raaj in a singles match.
The camera stopped and did a snapshot on Vinci as he made his way to the ring, each time he stopped to smile or pose. During the match, Vinci showed some different fighting style than we were used to.
Vinci is former NXT Tag Team Champion Fabian Aichner. He was split up from Imperium shortly before Gunther and Marcel Barthel moved up to the main roster. Prior to Tuesday’s show, Aichner hadn’t wrestled on TV since April 5.
As seen below, Vinci was interviewed after the show. Vinci claimed that he is in a league of his own and he will be the one to bring style back to NXT 2.0.
