Some interesting names took to social media to react to a surprising new wave of WWE releases that include some of the company’s top names.
Impact’s Jordynne Grace sent out some scathing tweets:
It is very simple – watch and spend your money on something else. It’s just f*cking ridiculous at this point.
It’s one thing to not renew someone’s contract.
It’s another thing to have someone uproot their entire lives, move to an unfamiliar area, and release them from their contract mere months into it.
THAT’S what’s f*cked up.
Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush opened up about WWE’s tendency to announce mass releases, taking to Twitter to write:
“Something’s gotta give. Things need to change. It’s unhealthy. It’s toxic. It’s soul snatching. It’s embarrassing. It’s ruining lives. It’s crushing hopes and dreams. Its contributing to mental health struggles. We’re living in a world full of facades, but the damages are real.”
Appearing to express a similar sentiment, Former WWE Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood tweeted:
“I wish WCW would’ve won.”
Former WWE interviewer and announcer Renee Paquette has faith all those let go today will find themselves outside of WWE:
Seriously?? That’s a list of stars. They’ll be juuuuust fine wherever they land
Also optimistic about his friends’ futures, Mustafa Ali posted:
i believe in you
Feeling for those cut, Paige tweeted:
That’s sucks.
Josiah Williams noted that he’s staying positive for his former co-workers, tweeting.
Praying for all of my friends and former co-workers. And staying positive for each and every one of you. I love you all.
Bray Wyatt tweeted late Thursday:
What do we do now?
We wait for the right place.
We wait for the right time.
Then we turn Rome to Ashes.
“Groveling in the muck of avarice”
I believe in you too
