On this week’s IMPACT!, Melina stated that she will be in action for the first time in her career in an IMPACT ring next week. Melina has her eyes set on the Knockouts Title and she will get her shot at that later in the month at NWA Empowerrr where she will be facing Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo.
In a backstage interview, Melina discusses that she is happy and grateful that she is able to be a part of Empowerrr as a 20-year veteran in this industry. Purrazzo interrupts and says while Melina is just “happy to be here,” she has been training to capitalize on opportunities. She has been training with Invicta FC Atomweight Champion Aleisha Zappitella.
After showing the video of her training, Purrazzo continues to gloat about how amazing she is. Melina agrees with her that she is impressed. She adds that throughout her entire career people have tried to end her, ruin her career, and get her to quit. But she is still here.
Melina wants to show Purrazzo exactly what she is in for at Epowerrr by having her first match ever in an IMPACT ring. An opponent has not been named at this time.
